OOC: I'm just going to post it here for now since it technically starts at the school, anyway. We can work out where to move it later... I hope it's okay if I just post it here for the moment, anyway.

He couldn't deny that he was nervous. Sheldon hadn't been on a date in a really long time, a fact he didn't like admitting when speaking to his fellow aurors. Especially since many of them seemed to have fairly active romantic lives. He himself often remained involved in his work. Sitting behind a desk more often than not, trying so hard to convince himself that he was invaluable to the department, but having trouble believing it. But Mason had, in many ways, changed that already. He was already thinking about him occasionally, finding himself wondering how the date would go, hoping it would go well.
He'd brushed his hair. Combed it one way, and then the other, and then back to the first. And he definitely hadn't just thrown an outfit together. He'd actually took the time to plan one. He felt like he was fifteen and going on his first date ever all over again. But he liked the feeling. He arrived at the castle grounds exactly when he said he would, finding a tree to stand under to wait for Mason. He'd sent the owl out earlier that day, letting him know when he'd be there and where. Now, the only thing left to do was wait. Wait and allow the nerves to twist knots in his stomach.

Mason hadnt forgot about the date with Sheldon. In fact he had prepared for this day better than he had prepared for any exam that week. He had already spilled the beans to his friends about Sheldon and told Jon that he would be gone that day until curfew, way before the owl even arrived. Though he was grateful for the owl because it mean that this was real. It wasn't a joke being played by a Slytherin.
Mason ran from his last class of the day to the dorm. He had to fight off the other students coming down the stairs for dinner as he fought his way up. Mason had the dorm to himself, since everyone was at dinner, so he quickly threw his cloths off and jumped into the shower. He knew he couldn't stay in it long so he hurried as his cleaned himself. Then he dried his hair, put clean snake bites in, and dressed with the outfit he had laid out days before. Taking on more glance in the mirror he turned and walked out to find Sheldon.
Mason spotted him under the tree, just like he had said he would be. Mason couldn't help the smile on his face as he walked up to Sheldon. "Hey there stranger."

He paced the spot in front of the tree he'd picked, fidgeting slightly every time he stopped for a second. It was obvious to anyone walking by that he was nervous. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been so nervous. He might have been socially... awkward at times, but that didn't change the fact that he was, also, usually socially confident. He wasn't used to feeling the butterflies in his stomach that he was currently feeling. He was used to just going through the motions, letting the situation go wherever it went without thinking much about it at all. He let out a breath. He was certain the night would go fine. And he liked Mason. He was just as excited as he was nervous.
Sheldon turned toward the sound of Mason's voice as he approached him. He saw that smile on the other's face and he instantly felt the nervous dissipate, being replaced with nothing more than the excitement. For weren't first dates supposed to be exciting? After all, it could be the start of something new, couldn't it? "Hi," he replied, approaching him, "We have to walk to Hogsmeade to apparate, of course. That shouldn't be a problem. I hope you don't mind spending some time in the Muggle world? There's always more to do there. I already spoke to your head of house, so I promise you won't get in trouble," he realized how fast he was speaking and chuckled. The excitement was clear in his voice.

Mason didn't want to screw anything up tonight. He really liked Sheldon which worried him more that he would mess something up. He smiled at Sheldon and listened as he spoke. "Ok." He said with a nod to the plans. "I've never apperated before." He said. He had heard horror stories of it, how it made you sick. Which made him even more nervous of course. The last thing he wanted to do was puke in front of Sheldon. Mason had already informed Jon that he was going out but he didn't think pointing that out would be important. Besides, muggle world or not he was sure Jon would have let him go.
Mason took another step forward, sliding his fingers into Sheldon's. "so tell me, what in the muggle world awaits us?" He asked curious. It wasn't like going to the muggle world was a norm for him. He actually had only been there once maybe twice in his lifetime. But Sheldon was right. There was more to do in the muggle world than in the wizarding world. Well, until Mason became older.

Sheldon was determined to make this night go well. He couldn't remember a time he'd had a relationship that actually worked. In fact, his last had been far from 'pleasant'. But something about Mason felt different. Almost right, even. He smiled when Mason admitted to never having apparated. He wondered if the other were nervous about it. "It's nothing to fear," he promised, "As long as you don't try it on your own until you learn how to do it. When you're with someone who knows how, though, you'll be fine," he vowed, "It's much better than floo powder."
He allowed Mason to slide his fingers into his, loosely holding his hand as he took a few steps forward himself, moving to guide Mason in the direction they'd be heading to apparate. Another smile spread his features at Mason's question. "That's the surprise," he replied, "You'll find out when we get there," he told him as he led him to Hogsmeade.
OOC: That's, really, my cop out way of admitting that I forgot what I was going to do. xD So, I'll think of something come next post.

Mason listened to Sheldon and nodded. "If you say so." He said with a small smile. "I guess....I'm just nervous." He admitted. "I've head that it can make you sick." He said knowing that his nerves where starting to get the better of him as he started to wonder why he even started dating again.
Mason's fears seemed to vanish when he saw sheldon smile. He started dating again because he had found a hot, and sweet guy. "Awww I don't even get a hint?" He joked as he followed sheldon to wherever they where going.
