Mason hadn't slept well. He had tossed and turned until Jon had come into he dorm to see what the problem was. A fever and a shiver with a cough. Could be the cold or flu. Jon had told him to stay in bed and not go to classes. Which was probably the best idea, rest. The bad thing was, well him and Sheldon had had a very exciting night the other day and mason felt bad for not replying to his owls. But what could he do. He was now sick in bed like a dog.
Mason figured that the only thing he could do was sleep. But even being the only student in the dorms, wrapped in a blanket fort, sleep still did not come. He laid on his side and closed his eyes, hoping to possibly find sleep.

He hadn't seen Mason since their time spent together at his home. He'd sent him owls, but had yet to get a reply. He couldn't deny that he was worried. He didn't think Mason was the type to just leave him after what they'd done, but the other possibilities were even more worrisome. What if something had happened to him, after all? There had to be a reason Mason hadn't replied to his owls. To put it simply, Sheldon was freaking out.
He had decided that the only thing left to do was check on Mason. He wanted to make sure he was okay, and that nothing had happened. Getting into the castle wasn't too much of a challenge. It had took some convincing, but Jon gave him the okay. So, he made his way to the common room, entering with the password that had been given to him. It might have seemed crazy, going in unsupervised. But Sheldon knew that in this castle, you were never truly unsupervised. So, it was with confidence (and a bit of worry) that he found his way to the dorm that he was told Mason would be in, wondering why he wasn't in class. He peeked in, looking around, and tentatively said, "Mason?"

Mason had been listening to the sound of the wind against the castle. It seemed so peaceful without the shouts and chatters of the puffs hat filled the dorm at night. Someone could get use to the peace. Maybe even skip classes every know and then. Mason knew it must have been he fever talking. Him? Skip a class? He must have been going mad.
Mason heard the foot steps. They where the only sound in the dorm room. He didn't think ho it could have been. He assumed wither Jon or another puff. He laided still in the bed, pretending to be asleep for the must part, just in case Jon had decided to check on him. But the voice that spoke his name was not Jon. "Sheldon?" he said tiredly, slowing sitting up and instantly started coughing.

He heard Mason's voice and pushed the door open, stepping in completely to reveal himself. "Yeah," he replied, eyes falling on Mason instantly, "it's me. I'm just checking in on you," he said quietly, leaving a pause between his words. It was just long enough to hear the wind blowing outside, until Mason started coughing as he sat up. Mason definitely did not look well. From first glance, he'd assume the flu. Many people would have opted to keep their distance, but no flu or cold would keep Sheldon away from Mason.
"And now I can see it was with just cause," he added, moving quickly toward where Mason sat on his bed. He gave the pillow a quick fluff and said, "You do not look well. You should lie back down. You've seen the nurse, I'm assuming?"
OOC: Hope it works. I tried. ^^

Mason felt bad suddenly. He felt bad for never owling Sheldon back. "I would have told you sooner....I'm sorry for not owling you back." He said feeling guilty. Mason shivered under the blanket and watched Mason come over to him. He allowed him to fluff his pillow and blinked. "No, I haven't seen the nurse yet. I've only talked to Jon." Mason laid back and stared up at Sheldon. "What are you doing here anyways?" he asked.
Mason nuzzzled back into the blankets. He felt like a bus had hit him head on. He was sure he was green. "I'm going to get you sick." He said feeling guilty again. "does Jon know your here?" he asked again. "I don't want you to get into trouble." he said worried.

Sheldon wasn't too fussed about Mason having not returned his owls. After all, Mason was sick. Sheldon was sure he'd been on bed rest for a while. Probably ordered by the head of house. "No need to apologize," Sheldon replied tenderly, "You need to worry more about getting better than replying to any ol' owls," He heard Mason's reply and nodded thoughtfully as Mason laid back against the pillow. He touched his cheek softly, looking down at him with some worry in his eyes. "You should. I can help you there if you'd like. When you'd like," he added, indicating that he didn't have to go now if he didn't want to.
"I came because I was worried," he confessed, sitting on the edge of the bed next to Mason. "I'm not fussed about getting sick," he said, "This one Auror, Jacoby, came to work once with a bad case of some kind of Wizard flu. Got the whole department sick. If I survived that, I'll survive this," he joked lightly, "Besides, if we're sick together, so be it," At his next question, Sheldon nodded, "No need to worry about that. Jon knows."

"They weren't "any ol' owls" he replied mocking Sheldon. "They were from you. I should have at least told you I was sick so you wouldn't have worried so much." He said feeling guilty. "Beside I don't think a auror should be in the castle during all the event....someone might try to hurt you." He said nervously. Mason felt the cold touch of Sheldon's hand as he touched his cheek. Mason shivered under the touch. "If I tell the nurse she'll send me home," he explained making eye contact.
Mason smiled lightly "isn't jacoby the one who's always a pain in everyone's ass anyway?" He asked half joking, half being serious. "I guess if we're sick together then that means we'll have to get better together too." He said with a small smile. Though he still didnt want to get sheldon sick. "Jacoby will be mad if you miss work."

Sheldon chuckled, shaking his head. "Nevertheless, your health is more important than me," he replied, "I want you to get better. I don't want you worrying about me," He smiled at Mason's next words, giving a playful shrug, "Would have been nice to know. But I stand by what I said. You getting better is far more important. Besides, I'm here now, aren't I?" Sheldon thought about Mason's next sentence and shook his head, "Nah, I don't think anyone but Jon and you and the headmaster know I'm here. I doubt we have to worry about that. And I doubt she'll send you home. She might have you stay in the nurse's office for a bit. Just until you get better. Might be good for ya."
Sheldon snickered at Mason's question. Many Aurors certainly thought that. But as far as Sheldon knew, he just had his own method of working. Same as all the other Aurors. "He's really not all that bad," Sheldon said, "I mean, yeah, he can be a pain in the ass. But so can some of the other Aurors. And yes, we will. If you do get sent home, we can tend to each other. Take turns making soup," he joked. He shook his head at what Mason said next, "Nah, Jacoby won't care. He only gets mad when he has to miss work."

Mason nodded slowly. He was right, it was to late now. He was here. "I'm sorry for making you come here." He said softly. Mason nodded when sheldon said that the headmaster knew. As long as Sheldon was allowed to be there then there would be no issues. Mason sighed "I like my bed though. I the hospital wings walls are to white." He said whining.
Mason smiled as Sheldon spoke. "I would make soup for you. I do make a tasty chick noodle soup. I bet your cute when sick." He said with a small chuckle "unlike me." He said noting to his messy hair and the tissues that scattered the floor. He laughed at the comment about Jacoby. "That man is going to work himself to death you know."

"You didn't make me come here," Sheldon replied sincerely, giving Mason a quick kiss on the forehead. Germs be damned. He didn't care if he got sick from being so close to the other. It was a sacrifice he was willing to make. If he had to take time off work, so be it. "I came because I wanted to make sure you were okay. And because I missed you," he admitted with a chuckle. "Fair enough. No hospital wing then. But if it gets too bad, promise me you'll see the nurse?"
Sheldon chuckled again. "I do love tasty chicken noodle soup," he said, "It probably tastes better than mine. I buy cans. From Muggle stores," he confessed with a snicker, as if it was the most horrible thing one could do. "I'm not that cute when I'm sick. My eyes get puffy and my face gets a bit red," Sheldon nodded, laughing a little himself, "I think he wants it that way, though."

Mason smiled when Sheldon kissed his forehead. It left a cool spot on his feverish head. "I missed you too." He said before he started to cough, covering his mouth with his hands. "Fine, if I get worse ill see the nurse." He promised.
"You know how bad those are for you." Mason said with a chuckle "if you get sick ill make you some chicken noodle soup without all the extra bad stuff those muggle add to the canned soups," mason laughed. "And I don't have puffy eyes and am a bit red either? I'm sure you are cute when your sick." Mason sighed sadly "I guess so. Wonder why he wants it that way."

Sheldon could feel the fever when his lips touched Mason's skin. There was no denying it. He was sick. At least he wasn't avoiding Sheldon. And, at least, he could stop panicking. Wondering what had happened to him. Still, he didn't like seeing him ill. "Can't be more than I missed you," he teased lightly as Mason coughed. He nodded at the other's promise, happy to hear him agree. "Good," he replied, "I wouldn't want you to get any sicker than you already are."
He let out a quiet laugh as he said, "I know. You're not the first to alert me to that. Probably won't be the last, either. I'd prefer your soup, though. So, I'm holding you to your word," he vowed with a laugh of his own, "Yeah, but it's cute on you. On me? Not so much. I probably look like an actual badger when I'm sick," Sheldon shrugged when Mason wondered out loud. "I have never really thought about it, to be honest."

Mason smiled lightly up at Sheldon. He then moved over on the bed and turned to lay on his side so Sheldon wasn't half on the bed, about to fall off. He took Sheldon's hands in his. Opposite of his forehead, masons hands where freezing as if he had dipped them in ice. He sighed lightly. "I hate going to the nurse." He said stubbornly.
Mason nodded. "I'll make it for you. It would be a lot healthy and taste better. Without all the chemicals from a muggle soup." He said with a smile. Mason shock his head and then leant into a pillow, looking up at mason. "I doubt you'll look like a badger." Mason frowned at the thought of jacoby working himself to death. "It shouldn't be any of my business i guess. It just makes me sad to think thats what he wants."

Sheldon returned Mason's smile, scooting over a bit when he turned to his side. Mason took his hand in his and Sheldon instantly noticed how cold it was. It was clear that Mason was truly very ill. And definitely needed the bed rest he'd been told to get. "I can't say I blame you," he admitted, "It can feel invasive. But if you end up absolutely needing to, it will be best," he added.
He chuckled in response to Mason's next statement, nodding in agreement. He couldn't deny that it would probably be a lot healthier. He knew what was put in the canned junk some Muggles called food. It had always, simply, been easier for him and his lifestyle. "I'm looking forward to it," he said. He laughed saying, "I wouldn't bet on that if I were you," Sheldon shrugged then before replying to him, "I guess it is kind of sad. But everyone has something that keeps them from going mad. I guess his something is work."

Once Mason was sure Sheldon was on the bed and wasn't going to fall off any time soon, he let his head fall onto Sheldon's shoulder. He sighed happily and nodded. "I will see the nurse if I get worse. I promise." He said with a smile. Sheldon's company seemed to make Mason feel better already.
Mason smiled and nodded. "I would love to cook for you." He said with a grin. "Then I would at least feel better knowing you would be getting some good food in you." He said as he jokingly poked Sheldon's tummy. He nodded again "I guess. It is sad though. I wonder why he would rather work than be at home. Doesn't he have kids?"
