I need help (Airous and Eragon)

Selene was sitting in the kitchen at home with a cup of tea in her hands, Willow was down for a nap and Dimitri, the puppy, was sleeping in her room. She was drained again, she was pushing herself to hard and she knew that and maybe, she just needed a break from everything but her family and maybe Airous was right, she shouldn't push herself to hard and back off on something. She just felt so tired and everything was getting to her now and that was the problem though she didn't want to tell Airous that something was troubling her or that she was drained.

She got up with her tea and moved to Willows room and sat down in the rocking chair, dimitri looked up when she came into the room but laid his head down. Eventually she, without intention fell asleep. She most likely needed the time to take the nap when Willow was to catch up on some of the sleep she had been not getting at night from nightmares that kept appearing in her mind at night. Each night seemed to get worse and that was why she felt so tired cause she wouldn't sleep at night but she hoped that she would be up before Airous got home, she wanted to make sure she had dinner ready so that they could spend the night together.

***Nightmare***

It was dark, to dark, she couldn't see anything but her own two feet for it was like a deep dark casem, a black hole to a point. That's when she heard the screams, there were always screams, several at once and they kept getting worse and there was no way she could identify each scream.

'They are all going to die. You can't save them all Selene, no matter how hard you try there is no way you can save everyone from me.' said the voice of someone female.

"I am going to try. I may not be able to but I am going to try to save them!" she yelled back and started running to try to save some of them.

She ran and kept stumbling on the ground, the ground was so uneven that it was hard to keep running forward. She really didn't know what or where she was running to but she had to try to save someone so she didn't fail. As she stumbled again she fell and thats when the light changed to a dull light and when she turned to look where she stumbled she saw something to her horror. Her aunt, Riley, Sky, Nera, Sirius, Eclipse, and everyone she loved were around her, dead and mutilated, it was like a horror film. Though the only two people she didn't see were Airous and Willow, she had to find them, before it was to late, before this would happen to them just like everyone else she loved, she was not going to let this happen to them.

'I told you, you can't save everyone no matter how hard you try, for everyone you love will parish and you will be left alone to suffer and you will blame yourself for each tragic ending.' the voice said again.

"I will change this, nothing is ever set in stone. I will change the outcome I will change the ending, I will not let you win this one." she said back pushing herself to her feet and started running again with a new purpose in mind and that was to change and to find a way to save Airous and Willow.

'Selene!' came the one voice she wanted to hear and she turned to see them, both of them walking towards her and she ran up to them, but she didn't reach them in time as something out of the blue hit them and both of them were dead. She ran over held both in her arms crying, she failed again.

'I told you, you will fail this and you will always blame yourself for this.' came the voice once more.

***End of Nightmare***

Thats when she woke up with a start and a whimpering could be heard from Dimitri and she looked down to see him nudging her to wake up, her glass had fallen from where she had it and she sighed. She bent down and ruffled his head gently and smiled lightly, thankfully Willow was still asleep in her crib.

"I am alright Dimitri, I promise that though just very tired and stressed but then again, things are just getting in the way, now I know how Airous felt." she said to Dimitri and she waved her wand and her glass fixed itself and the tea went back into the glass though she would have to dump it out now.

"I think its time for dinner don't you Dimitri?" she asked the puppy which had grown since they had bought him and she went to the kitchen preparing dinner which consisted of: baked potatoes, Rice, mixed vegetables, and a roast that had onions on it for flavor and carrots with it.

Thats when she heard the tapping of the owl on the window and she opened it letting it come in to warm up and paid and took the paper and let it go. She always got the paper daily for any news especially considering her family, though she hated many of them, she just wanted to keep tabs on them all. She would have to wait to read the paper when Airous got home.

Eragon was out in the cold. He had needed to find his sister, though he didn't think that she would listen to him after all he was involved in her torment and beating that she didn't deserve and he just needed to see her. Yes he saw her throughout the halls at the school but she was always busy talking to someone or helping other students finding their classes and yet he noticed she hadn't noticed him. He wanted to take her classes but they were for the older students and were not in his electives to choose so he never was able to go close to her class room. He had come this far on the Knight bus that brought him to Godrics Hallow but thats as far as he got though he had to sneak out in order to be able to get the bus, he didn't care if he got punished for this but he wanted to be there.

He continued going down the street. He didn't know exactly where she lived but he knew it was here though, she never really did live that far from their parents but then again their parent's house probably was far away and plus, they didn't live here in Godrics Hallow any more, they had moved to the village of Tinworth. He never liked their new home and preferred it here but his opinion never mattered after Selene left and he had to bring news to Selene for she wouldn't have known yet today and he had to make sure that she found out. Thats when he noticed and owl carrying a paper and bringing it to the house at the far end of the street and tapped on the window. So thats where Selene was located.

He was becoming so cold he could no longer feel his arms or any part of his body and that was a bad thing. He struggled towards the door and he watched the house, he could see his sister cooking and seemed to be talking to someone or something. He didn't want to interrupt but he needed to ask for her help, he needed her help and he prayed that she would help him. Thats when he fell down in the cold snowy ground and he slowly started pulling himself up to the door but when he got there he couldn't even knock, he laid there on the ground shivering and freezing, needing help. In his hand was a letter, a letter that he needed to get to his sister.

Selene had set the paper on the table and before she sat down she checked on the food which wasn't done but still cooking at a good pace and checked on Willow who was still asleep. She knew that Willow would call for her once she woke up, now that Willow could speak at least mama and Da now. Selene was trying to teach Willow to continue speaking through books which Willow enjoyed. Before leaving the room she kissed Willow on the top of the head and walked out with Dimitri fallowing her every step, the puppy had always enjoyed fallowing them everywhere.

After rechecking the food she sat down and opened the paper and started reading various articles such as openings of places in shops so that she could eventually open her own. Nothing new or good in the paper that seemed to be happening, several deaths were happening. She Sighed shaking her head at the thought that although they were trying to prevent deaths they weren't able to stop all of them. She needed to keep tabs on her family just in case too. Before she could read all the deaths Dimitri started barking like mad at the door.

"Dimitri what is it? What's wrong?" she asked as she walked to the door wondering whats going on and she hoped that nothing was seriously wrong.

She looked outside and saw an un-natural pile of snow on their front steps of their house and she opened the door and saw that it was a person. This wasn't good, she wondered what and who was here that would make them come here this late in the day on a weekend that kids would go home and see their parents. She brushed the snow off of the person's face and noticed it was her younger brother, Eragon.

"Eragon!" she said in a worried voice and she grabbed him under his arms and dragged him into the house, his lips were blue and he was shivering and cold. She waved her wand to make him levitate and she brought him into the bathroom, started up the hot water making it warm so that she could put him in it and she undressed him down to his underwear and placed him in the warm water to make him warm.

"It's going to be ok, your safe. Don't worry I got you." She said then noticing the scars and other wounds and bruises that he had on his body.

"Oh Eragon, I am so sorry you had to take this from them." she said to him gently then she stopped the water and made a charm so that he would stay up above the water if he slipped to his chin.

After she had did that she grabbed his cloak and other cloths and brought them to the kitchen and waved her wand again drying them all the way through. She grabbed a large fluffy warm blanket from one of their closets that were in Airous's and her room she went to the guest room laid out Eragon's cloths and made sure that the bed was ready for him. She checked on the food which was not burning, set up the table and then checked on Willow who was just waking up, She picked her up and brought her out in the living room to play with her toys which she did with Dimitri watching her.

She went to the bathroom and laid out a towel for him and a pair of Pajamas that she had gotten a while back and she had forgotten to give them to him though she made them to his hight now so he could wear them.

Eragon had been getting colder and colder and he knew that if he stayed out here any longer he would catch his death and get a severe cold if his sister didn't find him soon. He could feel the cold seeping in to his very bones and that bothered him the most but he was so tired, so sore that he couldn't continue moving any longer. He only wished that there was ways to make her see that he still cared and loved her without her thinking badly of him because of what he was forced to do to her.

As he lay there he was dreaming, dreaming of a day where things were back to normal and that Selene would take him in no matter what happened from the past. He dreamt as he lay there he wasn't sure if it was dreams or if it were thoughts that pestered him about the past or if everything was meant to be that way.

***Dream/Nightmare***

He was at home sitting on Selene's bed waiting for her to get home. She had promised that they would hang out and spend some time together before their father got home and started the usual. Though their father seemed calm today and that he even seemed happy but then again he could change his mood in an instant if you weren't careful. He just hoped that their father would stay at work and get over time so that he and Selene could go do something without her getting hurt before hand. Thats when he heard the door open and then shut and the foot steps seemed very light, it was his sister, she always walked softly and he recognized her footing.

"Eragon, help me pack I am leaving. I am going to Aunt Hecates, I can't stay here any longer. Come with me, run away with me Eragon." Selene had said as she opened and shut the door to her room which had very little in it except a bed, some cloths, very few books and her journal.

"You know father will find you and he will be furious if he finds you and captures you before you reach Aunt Hecate's, you know that and this time he will kill you." Eragon said frantically trying to make his sister stay.

"He will kill me no matter what even if I stay or try to leave now, he will kill me eventually if I stay here and I am not going to put up with it, I need to escape Eragon. I've taken the beatings for far to long and I am not going to stay and continue to be beaten. Especially by you. I know that you don't mean it Eragon but I can't." she said gently to him grabbing her backpack that their aunt had placed an extendable charm to make it carry more stuff then what people could think because of it's size on the outside.

"Your right, but I can't come with you, you should know that by now. He will know that I helped you and I have to stay so that he doesn't think that." Eragon said getting her cloths and helping her place them in her bag and grabbing all her books that she had and her journal which he hugged before putting it in the bag.

"I know that. I love you Eragon, you will always be my favorite little brother ever. Your the only one I care about. I will be back to save you, I promise, I will take you away from here." she said hugging him before she opened the window and took off down the road going to Aunt Hecate's.

It had been two hours since Selene had left and his father got home and Eragon was in the living room drawing and he looked up and folded up his paper. He knew that his father would be pissed and he knew that if he found out that Selene was gone he would be beyond pissed more then anything.

"Where is Selene, Eragon? She knows that she is supposed to be home before I get home from work." Markus said glaring at Eragon.

"She hasn't come home yet but after I came home her stuff...her stuff was gone." Eragon said flinching under his gaze though he didn't tell him the full truth.

"WHAT?!" Markus Yelled and went running out the door to go get Selene and about fifteen minutes later he dragged her in the house after he found the trace on her.

***End of dream/nightmare***

Eragon woke up and realized he was in a bath of warm water inside a house. He realized that he was warm or at least getting warmer, he rubbed his face with his hands. He moved slightly sitting up in the tub and he didn't feel numb he just felt the warm seeping through and he let out a sigh. He looked around the bathroom and noticed that it was neat and the surfaces were shiny and that there was a nice fluffy warm towel on near the tub for him along with a pair of Pajamas. He didn't move at first but he stayed and relaxed.

He closed his eyes and tried to shake off the dream that was his worst memory that he had because it reminded him of how bad Selene had gotten from the beatings. He traced the tattoo on his wrist and sighed hoping that she would be able to help him. He hoped she would remember the promise she made to him too. Soon he got out of the tub, Dried off and got the Pj's on and walked out and noticed a light on down the hall and fallowed it to the kitchen.

"Selene?" he asked.
