Hecate finally got off work and was glad to spend the rest of the night with Sky who she loved very much and adored to no end. Sky was very precious to her and she wouldn't trade her daughter for anything in the world and her daughter was the light in her eye apart from Riley and that was everything to her. She was happy that sky was taking a nap, usually she took a few naps a day and usually, around this time, was one of her nap times and when she saw her sleeping she smiled down at her.
She went and changed from her robs and put a pair of black jeans and a teal tank top on and headed to the kitchen carrying the baby monitor so she could listen to hear if Sky woke up or not. She checked the clock hoping that Riley would be coming home soon so that they could have dinner together as a family and smiled. She waved her wand having potatoes peal and wash themselves and put in a kettle on the stove along with carrots and she put the turkey in the oven to cook so that she could start making soup. Onions started to cut and peal themselves as well along with the celery and while that was going and being done and put in the kettle she started making dumplings, well preparing them for the soup as well.
When she was doing everything she turned the radio on which played soft instrumental music which she hummed along to just out of force of habit then anything else. When the veggies were done and the dumpling batter done she got the salad ready making sure that was ready before starting the soup itself, and she was thankful that the turkey was already mostly done before she had put it in. It was about an hour after that she took it out and started cleaning the turkey and putting the meat in the kettle, which by means it was large, and she had placed what was needed in and put it on high for a while watching it stirring occasionally. Which she charmed the spoon to do it so she could check up on Sky who she could tell was waking up and she picked her up placing her in her play pen in the kitchen but further away from the stove so she could play and that Hecate could keep an eye on her.
"What are you thinking about Sky? Do you miss daddy? I miss your daddy very much, He should be almost done with school and he will be coming home." she said, at least she hoped he would be.
