The world was fuzzy as Mason came to. The bright lights of the hospital blinded him. He was aware of the pain on his stomach. He had seen what the wound on his stomach said. He had stared at it in disbelief as he was rushed to St.Mungo's fourth floor for spell injuries. Tears soaked his cheeks. He wondered what he was crying for, the pain or the word "fag," that was now per mentally scared onto his stomach. There was no one in the room with him at the moment. He took this time to try to remember what had happened.
Mason remembered Oliver White wall up to him with a grin like a snakes. Though he had been polite, saying hello to him. Mason didn't even hear the spell that he said after the introduction before the pain hit. Mason couldn't even remember if he screamed or not. How many people saw? Did anyone see?

He'd been at work when he'd received the owl. It had taken him a minute to leave, on account of having to wait for his break. But as he had rushed to St Mungos, he had quickly decided that he didn't care if he returned back slightly late. He didn't even care if he was a few hours later. He was sure (or he hoped, anyway) that Hecate would understand if he explained the situation. He didn't know much about what happened. All he could gather from the letter was that Mason was hurt, and it was because of another student.
He arrived at St Mungos through apparation, not even taking the time to greet Jon who he had seen in the waiting room. His voice was rushed and panicked as he asked the healer where Mason would be, and he didn't stick around to hear what she said after she answered his question. Instead, he turned and moved in that direction. He entered the room, rushing to Mason's side. "Mason," he said, voice still slightly panicked, "What happened? Are you all right?" Well, that was a dumb question. Of course he wasn't all right. But it had slipped out before he could even think about what he was saying.

Mason heard the door open in a rush. He blinked trying to hold back the tears as Sheldon entered in the room. Masons bed was laid all the way back so he saw Sheldon without having to sit up. Mason could tell the other was panicked. He felt bad for bringing him this panic. He was ashamed of what he was. Mason had never felt the need to be ashamed of his sexuality, but now that it was marked on his stomach, he felt like he was hurting Sheldon as well.
Mason nodded to Sheldon, answering his question. "I'm ok." He half hearty said. "A bit in pain. Hopefully a healer well be here soon to fix that though." He said as he reached for the others hand, needing his strength now. Needing him more than he ever felt he needed Sheldon yet, not wanting to drag the other down.

Sheldon was still confused about the details. He hadn't asked for them. He hadn't even thought to ask the healer he'd spoken to before entering the room. The only thing that had been on his mind was getting to Mason. He was afraid to ask Mason for a full recount. Not necessarily because he was afraid of what he'd hear, but because he was afraid of asking Mason to recall something that would probably be painful to remember so soon.
His eyes scanned the bed Mason was lying on. There was some blood, but he didn't stare long enough to figure out where it was coming from. Hadn't the letter said his stomach? Sheldon couldn't remember, he'd pretty much stopped reading after the first few sentences. "Good," Sheldon replied softly, though he wasn't too convinced that Mason was, in fact, okay. "They haven't yet?" he asked, a bit shocked, if not coming across a tad angry as well. He allowed Mason to grab his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze as he stared at him. "Who did this to you?"
OOC: I'll get to Jon in just a moment.

He hadn't seen what happened. He didn't even get a good look at the student who'd done it. When he'd found Mason, it seemed that everything happened fast. He couldn't deny that he had panicked. Something like that had never happened to one of his students. A Slytherin had been severely injured thanks to the carelessness of his friends the first year Jonathan was a Professor at Hogwarts, but that wasn't even this bad. He did the only thing he could think to do. Made sure Mason arrived at St Mungos, for he wasn't so sure the school nurse could help him.
He would have went straight back with Mason had it been possible. But he had papers to fill out and it took him a minute, largely because he couldn't think straight. He saw Sheldon rush in, but the other rushed right past him without saying a word. A few minutes passed before he was able to go to the room. He gave the door a quick, quiet knock before stepping inside. "How are you holding up?" he asked, eyes on Mason as he leaned in.
OOC: Horrible reply is horrible. x'D My muse for Jon seems off today. Hope it's okay.

Mason wondered if Sheldon had lost track of time. Or if it was himself who was unsure. Sheldon's questions was odd. Mason had been there at least a hour. "They did." He reinsured him. "I don't think they know I'm up yet." He explained. Mason looked at the door wondering if anyone else was going to enter. Since it was just the two of them he whispered "Oliver White." But before Sheldon could speak, almost in a childish tone mason continues to speak "but don't tell. I don't want him to get in trouble."
Just then there was a knock on the door and mason fell quiet. He watched as Jon entered the room. He couldn't recall Jon being there or him being the one to bring him here. He kept seeing Oliver's face, just before it happened. "I'm ok." He said to Jon, the same as he had said to Sheldon.

Maybe Sheldon had lost track of time. Though if he were perfectly honest, he hadn't been keeping track of time to begin with. It had seemed strange to think that they hadn't seen him yet, but Sheldon's mind was so foggy in his panic that he didn't think about that much at all. He nodded in relief at Mason's answer, reassured as Mason spoke. "I can find one if you want me to," he offered, "Let them know so that maybe they can do something about the pain," he added quietly, afraid to speak the words too loudly.
Mason answered his question then. The name hitting Sheldon's ears as soon as it was spoken. He was vaguely aware that his hold on Mason's hand had tightened when he heard it spoken. He'd probably even gone a little pale. He didn't have time to speak, however, before Jonathan came in. Mason fell quiet and Jon spoke before Sheldon could. Mason gave him the same answer he'd given Sheldon.
OOC: Will get to Jon in a bit. I don't care if you wait or not. ^^

"It's ok." Mason said softly. "It's not unbearable and I'm sure the pain will go away soon." He said gently to Sheldon, hoping to help him ease out of his panic. He didn't like to see Sheldon in a panic, especially when it was about him. Mason gave Sheldon a small smile. "When do you have to go to work?" He asked trying not to sound sad about Sheldon having to leave. Mason saw Sheldon go pale after Jon walked in. He became worried. "Are you ok?" He asked concerned "you look like your going to be sick." He said not adding that Sheldon hadnt even seen the scar yet to want to feel ill.

Jon was hesitant about stepping in to stay. Sheldon had made it to see Mason first. Perhaps the polite thing to do would have been to leave them alone for a minute before he intruded. However, he only wanted to make sure Mason was, in fact, okay. When he had found Mason, he definitely hadn't looked okay. "Are the healers treating you all right?" he asked, moving quietly to Mason's side and the side of the bed opposite Sheldon.
He had no idea what he'd missed before coming in, but Sheldon certainly did look like he was going to be sick. His eyes moved to Sheldon as Mason spoke to him. Mason asked the question that had been on his mind. Better he ask it, anyway, considering. Jonathan was here for Mason. And he was going to stay as long as he could to make sure Mason was okay. "I didn't really see what happened," Jon said softly, turning his attention back to Mason, "but many of the other professors are doing their best to figure it out."

"I hope so," Sheldon replied quietly. And he genuinely did. As an auror, it didn't necessarily surprise him that people could be so cruel. Perhaps, what surprised him was that people could be so cruel to Mason. Bias or not, he didn't think he'd ever comprehend it. "I just want you to be okay," He added. At the question about work, Sheldon shrugged it off. Still convinced that he would be okay not returning given the circumstances, though not entirely sure. "I'm on break right now," he admitted, "but I'm going to stay as long as I can."
Sheldon didn't just look like he was going to be sick, he felt like he would. At Mason's question he shook his head at first, and then when he realized that meant no he was not okay, he nodded instead. "I'll be fine," he said, though his expression gave off that he probably would not. "I just recognize the name is all. But what's important right now is you," he added, giving Mason's hand a gentle squeeze.

Mason watched Jon as he moved to the other side of the bed. "Yes." He answered. "I'm in a little pain now but I'm sure their been in soon to see me. I have been asleep until now." He said explaining what he had told to Sheldon moments ago.
"I don't remember much of what happen." He said looking up at Jon. Mason shock his head at Jon's words. "I don't think there's much to figure out. That is one thing I remember, there wasn't anyone there too see what had happened. I don't even know when you had gotten to me."
Mason smiled at Sheldon and nodded slowly. "Don't get in trouble for staying here. I don't think they're planning on letting me out anytime soon, so ill be here tomorrow too." He said hoping to help Sheldon out as best he could. Of course he didn't want Sheldon to leave but he had to work.
Mason wondered what Sheldon planned on doing now that he knew who had been the cause of the accident. "How do you know him?" He asked curiously. "He's new to the school." He said before realizing that he came off as defending the other. "Sheldon, I don't want any more trouble. If anyone else found out who did it, then he might try to hurt me again." Mason said, the sound of one being scared in his voice.

OOC: I'm too lazy to jump accounts this time, so I'm posting as both of them from Jon's account.
"I'm sure they will," Jonathan said. If they didn't, he would definitely be seeking one out. The last thing he wanted was for Mason to be sitting in that room in pain while the healers did god only knew what. "I know," Jon said. And then when he realized that sounded a bit creepy he added, "I mean, I've been in the waiting room. I asked a few times how you were doing. I'm glad to see that you're awake," And he was. He had been even more worried when Mason hadn't been.
"Okay," Jon said softly as Mason shook his head, "It will be hard since no one was there to witness it," he admitted, "But it's still pretty... standard that we try to figure it out. Maybe Peeves was around?" he suggested, though he knew the chances were slim. "Whoever did it was gone when I arrived," he said.
Sheldon shook his head at Mason's words, determined to stay as long as he could. Even if he did get in trouble, he doubted he'd lose his job over something like this. Maybe he'd be chewed out, but he felt he could handle it. "I'll be fine," he assured Mason, "I'll return to work, but I'm sure they'll understand if I'm a little late," Sheldon bit his lip, not sure how to answer the question. "Just. Ran into him. A while ago," he said, "I know that you don't, Mason, but something has to be done," he added quietly.

Mason listened to Jon and nodded. He wondered how long Jon had waited in the waiting room for him. "I don't think Peeves was there." He said but he wasn't 100% sure. Mason sighed and nodded. He wondered just how figuring this out was going to go. Would they question all the students? Give them truth potions in their morning organs juice? "How did you find me?" Mason asked, curious.
Mason looked away from Sheldon. He wondered how much Sheldon or Jon knew about the wound that he had. "It was a hate crime. I don't want anything done. No investigation. It'll only get worse if there is one." He said to Sheldon and Jon. He had seen this before at drumstrang though he had never been the end of a hate crime.

OOC: Too lazy to switch accounts again lol
Jon himself wasn't sure how long he had been waiting. He'd lost track of time a while ago. His mind had been more focused on Mason's well being than the clock. Not only was Mason one of his Hufflepuffs, but one of his brothers, as well. And unlike a large portion of the Doom family, Jonathan had strong family values. "Okay," Jon said. If Peeves wasn't there, there probably were no witness. Not even the occupants of the paintings had been there. Jonathan had been trying to find a place to hide when he'd stumbled across Mason. A place where he could drink in peace. But he wasn't going to explain that. Instead he said, "I happened upon you. Coincidence. And an awfully lucky one, too. I'm glad that I did," he didn't want to think of what might have happened if he hadn't.
Jon had caught a glimpse of the wound. He knew that it said something, but he hadn't been able to make it out. It wasn't like he was trying to. Either way, hate crime made it more serious as far as he was concerned. "A hate crime?" Sheldon asked, surprised. "Something has to be done," Jon and Sheldon said, nearly at the same time, words only seconds apart. "I'm not sure we have a choice," Sheldon added. But he was just as afraid as Mason was.

Mason listened to Jon's words."I'm glad that you did then." He said not sure how much worse of a condition he would have been in if Jon hasn't found him. He wondered if this was what Oliver had wanted or if the other had planned on doing more damage and Jon had scared him off. "You were in the right place at the right time." He said with a small smile.
Mason shock his head again. "Please don't." He said almost begging them. "We can say I fell down the stairs. No one has to see the scar. No one has to know about this." He said the last line seriously. Mason had a feeling Oliver didn't like getting in trouble. He was sure the other would make his life a living hell, no matter what. Mason hasn't even said three words to the other. He wasn't sure why Oliver targeted him.
