He had taken to spending even more time at work lately than seemed possible. Every extra hour he could squeeze in, he managed to do so. He was sure he was trying the patience of many of the other aurors, but he didn't particularly care. Being at work was better than being at home, alone. Sure, he had his puppy to keep him company. But it wasn't the same.
He'd gotten sent out about thirty minutes prior, still a little buzzed from the firewhiskey he'd secretly sipped on earlier in the day. He hadn't paid much attention to the details of why he was being sent out. He didn't pay attention to details much at all in those days. The only thing he knew was that an auror's presence was needed and he was the one to be sent out. And now, he had the wizard in his office, waiting to be told what to do with him. The other could try to run if he wanted to, but Jacoby knew well that with the amount of aurors right outside the door, he wouldn't get very far. He sighed as he gestured at a chair along the wall, instructing the other to sit. "Someone will be around for you soon," he said.
OOC: Hehe last one before suspension *pats Jacoby* It's horrible. I know it's bloody horrible. You know I suck at starting, though. ^^; Hope you can work with it.

Oliver's head hurt. He couldn't remember how the other had found him. But here he was now, handcuffed. He watched Jacoby, eyeing him. Something about him seemed off and he was going to play with that. "You look tired." He said kindly. "Maybe some coffee will help. I use to work in a coffee shop, I know all the secrets to making the best coffee you'll ever taste. I would love to make you some but I'm a little tied up." He said laughing lightly at his little joke.
Oliver wasn't dumb. Though many would have probably though he would be and not listen to Jacoby. Instead he sat down and looked over at the other. Slowly a plan was forming in his head. "You know you look familiar. Have we ever met?"

He kept his eyes on Oliver even as he moved across the room. Handcuffs weren't used often, after all wizards had stupefy to cover that, but that didn't stop Jacoby from using them from time to time. His expression remained indifferent, but his body language and the way he moved spoke volumes. He couldn't hide that he had a lot on his mind, even if he tried. He sighed at the other's words, saying only, "You have no idea," Sleep. That was something he hadn't allowed himself to get much of.
The mention of coffee was tempting to Jacoby. It wasn't like he hid his caffeine addiction. Probably every auror in the building had grown accustomed to seeing him with a cup of it in his hand. "I have to admit, that's tempting," he replied, "The coffee they make here tastes horrible," he eyed the other, considering it for a minute. Well, if he made a run for it, he wouldn't get far. Jacoby knew that without a doubt in his mind. He waved his wand quickly, unlocking the cuffs. "We may have," he replied.

Jacoby had let his hands free. He stretched out his fingers and rubbed his wrist. Even though he was free he knew if he tried to run he wouldn't get anywhere far. After all he was unarmed for Jacoby had his wand, and the other two wands he had been carrying around. "Show me where your coffee things are. Unless you give me my wand back ill have to make it the muggle way." he explained
Oliver decided that he would stretch his legs while he was at it, walking around the room and eyeing the things in the small office. "You wouldn't happen to know the auror Sheldon Hall would you?" He asked. "I always found him attractive, though I think even your looks surpass his." He said with his signature smirk.

Jacoby kept his eyes on him, ready to use his wand if he had to. He didn't know how long it would be until someone came with instructions on what to do with Oliver and he wasn't sure that he cared. In some strange way, company felt nice. Even if it was someone like Oliver. And wasn't Oliver the one Sheldon had told him about? He'd found Sheldon's wand on him, anyway. And he would recognize Sheldon's anywhere. It was just as... strange as its owner. "In the corner," he said, gesturing toward it, "And I'd give you your wand back, except I don't know which one is yours."
He kept his eyes on Oliver as he moved around the office, eyes brushing over things as he went. At his question, Jacoby nodded. "I do," he said, "We've worked together a lot over the years," At Oliver's next comment, a small smirk spread Jacoby's lips. Maybe he was just lonely, or maybe it was the slight buzz he still had, whatever the case he kind of liked hearing it. "Thank you," he replied, "You're not so bad yourself."
OOC: ohhhh Jacoby. xD

Oliver gave a nod and walked toward the corner. "No matter. Sometimes hand made coffee taste better than magic coffee anyways." He said with a shrug as he went to work. Soon the room smelt heavy of coffee beans. Oliver handed Jacoby the cup when done. "Try it. I bet it'll make you in a less groggy mood." He said with a wink.
Oliver smiled at Jacobys words. He knew what he was doing, playing with the mans heart and head to get what he wanted. "What's a handsome man like you doing in a place like this?" He asked "must get lonely all by yourself." He sighed sadly "maybe I should stop in more often and cheer you up." He said placing his smirk back on and winking at Jacoby again.

"It usually does," Jacoby said, smirking lightly as he spoke, "Magic can do a lot of things. One thing it cannot do is create a great cup of coffee. I'll eat my words if you one day prove me wrong, for now, work with what you got," He wasn't sure what he meant by saying one day. Surely it sounded like he was insinuating that they'd see each other again. But he hadn't thought the words through. As was often the case for him. The smell of coffee was definitely intoxicating. It had always been Jacoby's go to for a quick 'pick me up'. He accepted the cup, another light smirk on his lips at Oliver's words. "Perhaps," he said as he took the first sip. He couldn't deny that it was better than how whatever auror made it in the morning usually did so. "If you're trying to win me over, you're doing a pretty good job," he said, not caring how the words sounded. Did he ever, though? Well, maybe when he was speaking to Hecate. But she could fire him if she found it best.
Jacoby didn't even realize what Oliver was doing. If Oliver had tried it in the past, he would have left Jacoby's office with a bruise or two and possibly a desire to press charges. But maybe - though he wouldn't admit it - recent circumstances had made him somewhat vulnerable. It hadn't crossed his mind that the other may have noticed. It hadn't even crossed his mind that he was being manipulated - just as easily as Jon often was. "It's not so bad," Well, it hadn't been at one point. Still, he tried to fool himself into believing that it still wasn't. "But maybe you should," he added, anyway, taking another sip from the caffeine.
