It was no surprise that he'd ended up at St Mungos. Again. He'd been at a party, where he'd maybe had a little too much to drink... that had resulted in him and another Wizard getting into a bit of a duel. And that was how he had ended up there. That was several hours ago, though. He had been treated, and bandaged up, and had bruise paste all over his bruises (that were already fading - magic was wonderful). And best of all (or worst, depending on who you asked) he had sobered up a while ago.
He didn't want to leave, though. He had nothing to rush home to, so he saw no point in rushing. Instead, Jayden found himself lingering in the waiting room, watching as patients came and went. Each of them being called to different parts of the Wizarding hospital. Some of them being taken to emergency, and others to spell damage. Then there were those who didn't look sick... but he was sure that they were. He leaned back in the chair that he sat in, eyes still scanning each waiting patient. So far, he hadn't been asked to leave. That was good, at least. Perhaps if he mingled with another patient, they wouldn't even notice him there.
OOC: Sleepy sleepy sleepy. Half asleep upon writing this. I hope that it works and I hope that you can work with it. Bring him in however you want. Maybe he's sitting next to him. Idk. I'm sure we can get this going. We always can.

It had been a nice week break from the white walls of St. Mungo's but now he was back. Joel went to the front desk and filled out the usual paper work before sitting down in the waiting room. He knew that he would be there a while, they always brought back the wizards and witches who only need to stay for a few hours of treatment than bring him back. After all his treatment could take a few days if found needed.
Joel sat in a chair across for a man who looked like he had been in a fight. Though must of the bruises where gone now and no signs if that fight would be able to be traced in minutes, Joel wondered why he was still here. "You don't look sick." Joel said with a small smile, trying to make a conversation.

The voice came from the chair right across from him. He looked over almost instantly, eyes landing on the person who had spoken them. You don't look sick. Well, they were innocent enough. And he wasn't sick. Still, the words had given him a slight jump, as he'd found himself secretly hoping it hadn't been a healer who had spoken them. If it had, perhaps he would have been asked to leave. Would they ask him to leave, anyway? He wasn't sure. He knew from experience that often, Muggle hospitals only would if you caused some kind of problem for the other visitors and patients.
Jayden relaxed visibly when he saw it was just another patient addressing him. He gave him a warm smile, the kind that was typical of him, really, and then a quick shrug. "I'm not," he admitted, "To be perfectly honest," he continued, voice barely above a whisper as he leaned forward to ensure the other would hear him, "I was dismissed hours ago. I just don't want to go home," He was quiet for a moment before he asked, "What about you?"

Joel felt almost sorry for the man. Why wouldn't he want to go home? All he did though in response was give a nod. "Me?" He asked comically. "I come to get treatment every other day. The healers don't like to pick me first though since they know how long it takes." Joel said with a shrug.
"So if you were released hours ago then why hang around the sick?" He asked not in a rude way, he was naturally curious of this man. "Why not dress as a healer and see what they do on their free time?" He suggested instead.

Jayden kept his gaze on the other as he replied to his question. The word me had been spoken comically. Which made Jay curious from the beginning. And Joel's answer furthered that curiosity. "Treatment?" he asked, "What for? If you don't mind me asking," Because it was always polite to say that last part, wasn't it? He thought so. "It can be a long wait, though. Even when you are picked first. So, that must suck."
He thought about the other's question, mulling over the words for a moment. He couldn't think of a proper answer. How could he explain it in words that made sense? "I guess, I just felt more comfortable staying here," he replied, "That probably sounds stupid."
