HISTORY Harriett was the oldest of two children born to muggleborn Brian and witch Arianna. From the moment they met Arianna told Brian that she was a witch and the man was even more in love with her. They were inseparable despite her magical gifts. When Harriett was born she showed magical signs like her mother. Growing up was chaotic. Her untrained magic caused a lot of strain on her mother and father, but when she was six she helped her mother try to hide her sister's magical abilities. Beyond the chaotic uncontrollable magic nothing happened until Harriett turned eleven.
Harriett got her Hogwarts letter and her mother took her to Diagon Alley to get her things. Harriett passed the pet shop and fell in love with two creatures. One of course would have to stay home, but the other was important. Her mother bought her a black and silver tabby cat and a Barn Owl. While the cat stayed home the owl journeyed to Hogwarts with her. Once there Harriett was sorted into Gryffindor and her new life began.
As soon as classes started she noticed that things were a bit difficult. She learned how to control her magic as well as learn spells, how to make potions, and fly. Harriett immediately fell in love with the flying and Transfiguration. The year passed and Harriett went home, but she vowed that she would try out for the school team the next year.
When her second year came around Harriett did indeed try for her House's Quidditch team and got on! Harriett was a Chaser. She helped her team win a few games, but of course like wins there were some loses, but Harriett was one of those who didn't care one way or the other. Quidditch was a fun sport to her and she enjoyed it. Time passed and Harriett learned more magic each more tough than the ones before.
When Harriett's fifth year came around she realized she wanted to teach at Hogwarts. Her sister was not yet at the school and so Harriett didn't have to worry about her. Harriett took classes that would help her to become a teacher. She passed her O.W.Ls with flying colors and in her N.E.W.T. year she continued those courses. Harriett enjoyed helping others and during both years she had noticed several students having problems. She helped those students, three of which were Slytherins, and helped them pass. The Slytherins didn't want her help at first, but she persisted.
When they finally accepted her help and they took their exams they realized that without her they may not have passed. So they tolerated Harriett more, but weren't friends with her. Finally, Harriett graduated. Two years passed and an opening for Transfiguration professor showed up. Harriett immediately went to apply. A month later she was accepted. Harriett began her new life as teacher. She has now been teacher for five years and enjoyed every single one.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Minerva sat in her office. It was late at night and she was grading quizzes from her third year students. The aging woman was exhausted, but she knew she had to get the grading done. Luckily for her she didn't have to wear her robes and was wearing her green nightclothes instead. This was so she could she blow the candle out and go to bed when she was done grading. Her eyes looked around a few times. Several ghosts had taken refuge in her office to do their own thing and Minerva let them be. She had no problem with the ghosts.
The only sounds she heard were the scratching of her quill and the rain beating down outside. A stormy night, but luckily Minerva's living quarters did not see her outside in the rain. Humming to herself she finished grading the last quiz. Like always there were some good students and some not so good students. Setting the papers to the side she prepared to head to her rooms. Turning to the ghosts she told them they had to leave and so the ghosts left without complaint. Minerva looked at the time. 11 PM. It had taken her three hours to grade the papers. Oh the joys of being a professor.
With a wry smile she took the candle to her rooms and set it on the bedside table. She took down her tightly pinned hair and felt the hair fall past her shoulders like a curtain. It felt good to let down her hair. With a sigh the woman blew out the candle and slid into her warm bed. It was rare that she ever got to bed before midnight and it meant she just might actually get some sleep. Making sure she could be up in enough time for her lessons the next day Minerva fell into a deep slumber.
Minerva felt warm and safe at Hogwarts. Nothing could change that fact. Her dreams were filled of her happy filled childhood and of the two loves she had and the one marriage she went through. Minerva knew that if she repeated history she wouldn't change anything for the world. Her life had been perfect... well almost perfect. There would have been one thing she changed and that was having a child with her husband, but beyond that everything was perfect.
