GENERAL:
Amanda is of average height, standing at 5'2". She is small in stature and frame, weighing 120 lbs. Her eyes are light blue and not too noticeable compared to the rest of her. She generally has her hair some strange, bold color and often changes it up daily. One day she might have blue hair, and the next her hair might be bright red. She isn't one that cares if she stands out. Amanda dresses in an eccentric fashion, wearing the strangest combination of clothes she can find. She'll sometimes be seen in just a baggy shirt and jeans or a tank top and shorts, but more often than not is wearing various combinations of colors. She has never liked the idea of normality and has never been afraid to show it. Amanda has scars that generally aren't visible and one single tattoo on her shoulder blade of a butterfly.

PERSONALITY:
Amanda is a very eccentric person. She is often described as being a 'dork' by those who know her best. But they mean it in the best way possible. She is prone to random outbursts and telling bad jokes and puns. She is usually very friendly provided she likes you and loves making friends, though she has very few on account of being 'weird'. She is usually loyal, with a few exceptions. (The exceptions being significant others as she is prone to getting 'cold feet'). She has a short attention span and will jump from one conversational topic to the next without even realizing that she has done it. She often has trouble paying attention as her mind has been prone to wandering.

Despite Amanda's bubbly public personality, she is inwardly afraid more often than not. She takes what other people say and think about her to heart and desires their acceptance more than they could ever realize. She can sometimes be paranoid about what others are saying when she isn't around and so will occasionally shut herself away from the world for days at a time. Amanda places a high value on art and as such is very artistic. She spends a lot of her spare time painting and sketching. She has never shared her work, however, and never plans to.

HISTORY
Amanda Hopkins was born to a wealthy business man and an heiress, the youngest of four children and their only daughter. Since Jerry had always desired a little girl, her parents stopped having children after Amanda. Both happy that they'd finally had their daughter and both comfortable at a nice, even four. Since Amanda was the only girl, she was always a bit of a tomboy. She was never afraid of getting hurt and would often participate in her brothers' crazy antics, much to the dismay of her parents who had wanted a "perfect princess". Amanda would appease them by occasionally wearing bows and dresses, but she was always happiest in jeans, a t-shirt, and wrestling with one of her brothers in the dirt.

Amanda's brothers were always very protective of her. Even Aidan - who was a bad Wizard in many ways - took to protecting her when the need arose. No kids on the playground would dare mess with Amanda for they all feared what her brothers would do to them. Because of this, it was hard for the young witch to make friends. Every time she tried, her brothers would scare them away. She was thankful when they were all in Hogwarts as that gave her a couple years to herself, to make friends and not have to worry about her brothers threatening them when they stole her favorite toy.

Amanda was convinced her life was perfect - seeing it through the eyes of a child. Until the summer before she began her life at Hogwarts. Aidan had gotten mixed up with the wrong group of Wizards. They were into dark magic and weren't very nice and were quickly rubbing off on her brother, who had never been that nice to anyone but her in the first place. She had followed him to a Muggle building one night, wanting only to speak to him because he had been distant. She paused when she saw the fire. Everything after that became a blur, she only remembers that she ran home screaming They're hurt! They're hurt! Her parents thought she meant her brother and his friends, but she was really referring to the Muggle family. Her brother has been in Azkaban since.

Amanda started Hogwarts the following year and was sorted into Hufflepuff. She tried as hard as she could to concentrate on her studies. She wasn't the smartest Hopkins, but her marks were always at least passable. She excelled in Potions and Herbology and by the time she was in her fourth year, had already decided that her calling was being a healer. Since her brother, Stephen, was only two years her senior and in the same house - the two of them grew exceptionally closer, often discussing their eldest brother late at night in the common room when their curfew had already past. She hasn't talked about her eldest brother since, however.

Amanda finished Hogwarts with decent marks and got a job as a healer soon after, working in Hogsmeade on the side. She met Lloyd during her time at Hogsmeade and felt a connection instantly. The two of them married shortly after meeting, but she felt that they rushed the relationship. She grew distant a year into the marriage, feeling as though she were only second in his heart. It wasn't long before she found herself attracted to his oldest brother, nor was it long before she found herself in her arms. Lloyd found out and they filed for divorce shortly after, realizing the marriage would never work out. She has been single ever since and has returned to using her maiden name.
