Horrible Reunion of Sorts (Selene, Airous)

Markus had decided to visit the school himself. He didn't trust his sister worth a drop of their pure blood status. He hated her, more then anything since she had taken and stopped him from destroying and breaking his own daughter for he knew he was close to either one or the other and he wanted to see Selene suffer the way he did when Eclipse was taken from him and while Eclipse was with Selene. He blamed Selene for everything that happened to Eclipse and he blamed her for Eclipse's death and what happened to his precious daughter he loved so much.

He laughed slightly. He knew that if his favorite Daughter was alive, and others would agree on this, that he wouldn't be so cold hearted, that he wouldn't have had to lose his eldest daughter to his hag of a sister, Hecate and would have raised Selene just perfect to be under the thumb of any man. His friends had said to him many times over that his heart had become cold and dark since Eclipse was taken from him and he had to admit, they were right about that and he couldn't change that now. He had lost his beloved daughter to a murderer and a rapist.

He looked around the Courtyard thinking about what Eclipse would have thought about this place and how she would have loved to be here, alive and well. But that was never going to happen, nothing would bring Eclipse back here and with him, nothing would ever bring his precious daughter to him.

He sat down on a bench wrapping his black leather trench coat around himself deep in thought, he was still wearing his lawyer suite and the lawyer shoes that he required to work under the muggle minister in order to keep him safe. He didn't notice anything around him.

Selene was on her lunch break and wanted to spend her time with Airous and Willow as a family. They never really got to because she was busy with patients coming through and trying to help the teacher's colds too and that usually meant she had to miss lunch and she never got to really have time to spend with Airous. Thankfully she had time and the chance to take a lunch break and use it to spend time with Airous and their little girl Willow.

Willow seemed to be enjoying being outside and she was literally bouncing up and down in her Selene's arms and laughing. Selene couldn't help but laugh with Willow for Willow seemed to be very happy today.

"Shall we eat in the courtyard today or do you wish to be in the grass today honey?" Selene asked Willow. Willow looked at Selene with a smile and placed her little hand on Selene's cheek to communicate which she showed the image of the courtyard and a bench.

"Alright, Courtyard it is for my baby girl." selene said and started tickling Willow making her laugh.

Selene went and sat at a bench and she sat willow down in her lap so that Willow was facing her and Willow was making motor noises of a boat with her mouth and lips which made Selene smile down at her. She wanted her daughter to learn all about muggles and learn what they used and what everything was in the muggle world and she wanted her to learn everything there was to learn about the magical world so that she was well educated.

Airous knew of the lunch date he had with Willow and Selene. He wondered how made Selene would be if he didn't eat lunch. It had been a week since he had been admired into St. Mongo's for his scary relapse. He's wrist was still heavily bandaged.

Airous sat down by Selene and scooped Willow out of her arms, placing the girl on his lap. "hello my beautiful angels." he said with a smile. "I'll feed Willow while you eat, ok?" he asked bouncing the girl on his knee and watched her laugh. He smiled "someone's in a happy mood today."

Markus looked up when he heard a laughing little baby girl and he didn't know that babies were allowed at Hogwarts and that's when he noticed his eldest child, Selene walk through carrying the baby. When did she have a child? If it wasn't hers then who's child was it that she was carrying? He glared in her direction and he wanted to figure out what was going on since he hadn't seen her for so long that he had forgotten, up till now, what she looked like and she looked happy for a change which, to him, was good too even though he knew that she should feel happy and knew he couldn't make her happy.

He couldn't help but smile at how well she was dealing with the child in her arms and how she was handling the little girl so well like she was used to her more then anything. He wondered how much time his daughter had with the baby or spent with the child in her arms in general to know everything and ask things of her

He watched and observed and watched as a young man about his daughters age walk up to them scooping the child out of Selenes arms and held her and the little girl seemed to be happy with both the boy and his own daughter there. Thats when he got up and slowly walked over to where they were.

"Hey hun. How are you feeling? How is your wrist doing?" Selene asking but smiled when he scooped up Willow in his arms and she couldn't help but smile when willow bounced on his knee and she knew how much Willow loved Airous.

"We are perfectly fine. Alright honey, but you don't forget to eat either." She said and pulled out a sandwich that she had and pulled out everything for Willow's meal as well.

"Here this is for her. I have been trying to feed her some food that is solid and she seems to enjoy it and sometimes she ends up trying to play with the food too. Which is actually funny." she whispered with a chuckle.

Selene handed his sandwich as well and some other things from home and she took out the rest and unfolded the napkin from her own but before she bit down she looked up in time to see her father. She froze and glared in his direction and put her food down and hissed slight at the very image of her pathetic father.

Airous watched Willow laugh as she bounced and he couldn't help but smile. "I'm alright love." he said and kissed Selene on the cheek. He sighed "healing slowly."

Airous took the sandwich that Selene had handed him and sat it down. He wanted to feed Willow first. Airous opened the bag of circler cereal and placed one in Willows mouth and watched her chew it. He slowed her bouncing down so she wouldn't choke but still bounced her slightly.

Airous looked up when Selene hissed. He blinked looking at the man. "a brother?" he asked hoping she wouldn't say it was her father.

When he got to where they were he stopped and folded his arms across his chest and looked down his nose at Selene and smirked slightly at her when she hissed at him and was glaring at him. He knew that Selene would tell the boy who he was and he wasn't worried about that but he snickered slightly.

"Well, well, well, you seem to be holding up and looking a lot better then the last time I saw you Selene. I am surprised that you are actually talking to other people and taking care of someone else's child as a way of earning pay. Who is the boy?" he asked with a dark smile written on his face.

"The kid is adorable. Who does she belong to?" he asked.

"I am glad. I was scared for you, you know that. Do you want me to heal them or do you want them to heal on their own?" she asked him and blushed slightly when he kissed her cheek.

Selene watched them and chuckled and opened the news paper that she had brought and opened it up to see if there was anything new in there that was important and in death's as well. She just preferred to keep track of who they could possibly know that would end up dead because of the dark forces.

"No, he isn't a brother...he's my father." she said to Airous and glared at Markus with pure hate and it could be felt since the hate towards her father was rolling off of her.

"I am holding up just fine because Hecate took care of me where you couldn't and wouldn't. Plus, since I was adopted by Hecate I didn't have to face the sever punishments caused by you or ever see you again. Why are you so surprised? Just cause I talk to people doesn't mean anything. Took me long enough to open up to anyone especially Hecate. I am not getting paid to watch her. What does it matter to you?" she said cooly.

"She is our child." she said pointing to Airous and herself.

Airous shock his head "we can let then heal on their own. I'd rather that happen so that way I can see the damage I've cause everyone and try to stop." he said with a defient nod and smiled when she blushed. Airous watched her open the paper. "love, you know the profit always makes you upset." he said gently "maybe you shouldn't look."

As Selene's next words hit him he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her as close to him as he could to protect her. He knew what the man had done to Selene and was prepared to do whatever it took to protect her and Willow. Airous let Selene talk before speaking as well. "Selene has been better off without you. Sorry of you regret it but there's nothing you can do to change the perfect women she has become. And I won't let you touch her." he tightened his grip on both girls as the man spoke. "the child is mine and Selene's." he snapped at him. "and once again you will not be allowed one finger one either of them."

“Well I am glad my good for nothing sister took you in and gave you things you didn’t deserve. I could have but I didn’t because you deserved what you have been given when you lived in my house and I still blame you for what you had done. You still did deserve what you got, you are so ungrateful for what you have been given.” He said scrutinizing her, his gaze intense.

Markus watched as the boy wrap an arm around Selene’s waist and frowned slightly wondering how she could have gotten someone to love and care for her so much. He wanted to, so much, hurt her but in his heart he knew that he had already hurt her far to much but he never was going to tell her he wanted to treat her better and enter her life. He knew she wouldn’t take him up for entering her life and he had wanted to hurt her and he knew that hurting her more wouldn’t give him the chance to enter her life to understand her and be able to do what he had planned.

“It means something to me. It means to me that you have told people about what happened to you when you lived with me. Well…good for you for actually opening up to her, she knew your case file by heart and had made sure everything was written and accounted for when she took you in.” he said glaring at her and his hand was in his coat pocket clenching his wand.

“I guess you got what came to you Selene. You know, we have always said you were going to be headed for a dark and dangerous spiraling road to nothing good. How are you going to raise a child and try to work at the same time and be able to fight for the war? You can’t Selene, You just can’t do everything and you will get overly stressed out and end up leaving the kid and him.” He said nodding to the little girl and the boy.

He listened and could feel this may not end well if he did attack and he wouldn’t want to cause to much trouble. He knew that watching his daughter love this boy with her heart he was naturally protective of her and he would have to see if the boy was right for her. He wanted to see how the boy would handle fighting to protect his daughter but he wanted to see what would happen first. He could see that he would protect her but how well though? He didn’t know but he wondered how well his daughter could protect herself from harm as well.

“I can see that she didn’t get to much guidance about the fact that she, you included, are to young to have a family. Kids raising kids. Regrets? What regrets? I have no regrets about what happened or what I did to her. She probably is better off, she probably will do much more damage on her own. Is that a challenge kid? Are you prepared to try to find out if I can’t? Of course, she looks like both of you. Is that still a challenge? I don’t care about laying a finger on the child, not now anyway, but Selene is another story.” He said with a snear.

“Alright hun. I guess but I will heal them if you change your mind about it. Oh, Airous, you know that we all love you and we would never have let you go. We all would have been there to help you and you know that, we all would and that is what family is all about, being there for each other and helping each other through problems.” She said and smiled slightly.

“I know it does but I should look just in case something worse happened and I have a bad feeling that we are all going to be targeted eventually especially our families and relatives. Plus, I want to see what the prophet has to say and see if there have been any break outs from Azkaban.” She said sighing and sighed shaking her head.

Selene was not fond of reading the news paper but because she just wanted to keep up with everything and see what was happening, it made it easier on her not having to worry if none of her family had died. Plus she was trying to make sure that no one they knew, friend wise, had died since her sister was keeping tabs on Zoe who always visited because Jasper was here and she wanted to be closer then far away. Though she had moved into a small cottage that was big enough for her and a small family. It was located 15 miles south of Godrics hollow near a wooded area for other’s protection so that she could change in safety.

She felt his arms wrap around her and pulled her into him and she knew that he would do whatever it took to protect her from her father and she didn’t blame him. After what he heard her tell him about her father she would do the same for him and she had a while ago when his father had come to drag him out of school she had protected him then. She beamed at him and she was happy about him standing up to her father and she noticed that Willow, who normally loved new people and always reached out to new people to be held so she could try to understand them, didn’t do that.

“What you did to me made me stronger and that, I thank you for. But now I am not going to allow you to continue to beat me down to nothing and this time I will stand and fight you with every intention of standing up for my family. I never deserved what you did to me. So? I hardly talk about what you did to me the only people who know are those that are close to me. You can’t scare me Markus. That’s what you thought and what your wife thought too. We will make it we both are working and you will not do anything to stop us. I WILL NOT LEAVE THEM.” She said glaring at her father.

“Don’t start this, not here. You just want a reason to hurt me more and I will not allow you to do that.” She said gathering her energy to use against him.

Airous saw her smile and couldn't help but smile back. "I know" he said and glanced down at his wrist. "It's not like I wanted to....it's just a bad bad habit." he said shaking his head. "It's fine love. Promise." Airous didn't move his arms away from Selene or Willow. He wanted to make sure he could jump in front of them if need be. He wasn't liking the way that her father was speaking to her and he found his temper flaring. Though he had both his girls in his arms and didn't want to hurt them.

"We aren't kids. Selene and I are both of age. As I recall my parents had my brother at 17 and 18. It is very common in this world." He snapped. "If I where you I would have tons of regrets. You've ruined your life. You will never meet your granddaughter for I will not let you. Nor will you ever be able to be in the same room with Selene alone. You are lucky I don't arrest you right here right now." he snapped. Even though he was a auror in training didn't mean he wasn't allowed to arrest those who broke the law. "I'm sure Hecate would just love to see you in her office." he threatened.

Markus listened calmly to what Selene said. He, by this point, was getting slightly more upset and angry then he was trying to be and trying to prove that he was being nice and wanting to be back in her life. He knew that she wouldn’t allow him back in her life but he wanted a reshot of it but doubted that he would ever get that chance to have her in his life and his grand daughters life. The young boy, however, was more fascinating to him to now that he realized that Selene was with the boy.

“Well you deserved what you got from me, after Eclipse was taken and everything. You allowed that to happen and we still blame you for what happened to her because you allowed her to be alone. You know very well she was our special daughter, our only daughter that made the world to us and yet you had to be born with her, the unwanted, the unexpected child. Oh, Really? How are you planning on doing just that Selene, you wouldn’t dare try to because you know what would happen if you dared attempt to assault me.” He said with a wicked grin on his face.

“I am surprised, you hardly talk about what happened to you. Who all knows of this, Selene? Oh I have ways in scare you if I must and I am not afraid to use those tactics on you to scare you one bit. I am more willing then not to find ways for you to not only be afraid of me but to respect me unlike those years where you never had respected me when Eclipse was taken. Oh, but can you though? Make it work when you guys are both young and don’t know the ways of the world just yet. What if I force you to leave them Selene? Then you wouldn’t have a choice but to leave them.” He said with a glare on his face as well.

“I have already started this Selene and when I start something I am going to finish it here. Maybe but you never know my motives and you will never know them. How are you going to stop me Selene? You can’t.” he said with a slight chuckle.

“To me you both are children and for that it’s kids raising kids and you haven’t had enough experience to raise a child. It’s to common and you shouldn’t even be raising a child, you both haven’t even gotten on your feet to really afford a child let alone trying to spend quality time together.” He sneered at the boy.

“If I had any regrets I wouldn’t share them with you, but that’s only IF I had regrets. Oh, no dear child, I am not the one that ruined my life and if I did then I would be dead. Why would you say I ruined my life anyway? Doesn’t surprise me though I could always force my way to see her even if it’s not personally seeing her but I have my ways.” He threatened with a wicked, evil grin.

“How will you stop me from seeing my own daughter or being in the same room with her alone, child? You won’t be able to stop me and the only way you would is if you had a power that I didn’t know of which I doubt that you do. You would need a really good reason for arresting me right here right now for one I didn’t attack you or harm you in any physical way, I have done nothing that the law would call for to arrest me.” He said with a slight snicker.

“I don’t doubt that Hecate would love to see me in her office, although the bad news is, kid, I see my sister day in and day out, not that I enjoy that of course. By the way, everyone knows that new, training aurors, can not arrest anyone and everyone knows who the new Aurors are when they enter the office. Hecate let you in because you are her godchild and you mean so much to Selene.” He said and let a smile came across his face again.

“See the problem with you arresting me would be the fact that I am also an Auror.” He said.

She watched him and she knew that he regretted what he had done. She knew that it was a very bad habit to get into, she had done it herself many times but she ended up stopping because of him, the love she had for him.

“I know it is a bad habit I used to cut myself though by the time I met you Nerefon had healed them. I hope so dear.” She said and she knew that her father would want to attack if so desired and she knew this time he would be stopped. She squeezed Airous’s hand to know that it would be all ok, that they were going to get through this together.

“This is true Markus, we are not kids, we can take care of ourselves, like we have been for years. Honey, he is an auror.” She said but she was surprised he was talking to him like this.

“I never deserved what you did to me and I never have. It was not my fault that the Gypsies took Eclipse that much is certain and for your information, Eclipse is Alive she is doing well and she is stronger then you could ever imagine. Yeah? Well guess what? I may not have meant anything to you but I mean something here, I mean something to my daughter, to Airous, to Hecate and to several other people. You don’t have to come here now, after how many years and tell me that I am nothing. I made something out of myself and you can’t bring me down ever, not again. I will find some way, some how to attack you only if you dare to attack me or my family.” She said angrily and she felt Willow place a small hand on hers.

“Why should I? Oh a few people that are none of your concern and you will not touch them. You don’t scare me Markus and you never will scare me. You lost the respect years ago, ever since you started treating me like scum. You won’t I will fight tooth and nail to escape you. There is always a choice.” She said her power sending an electrical current around them.

“You started it and I will finish it. I will now since I can make sure you will never understand what you don’t know. You don’t want to mess with someone who has more power then yourself. I can.” She growled at him.

Selene was snapping and what he said pissed her off to the point that she released some of her power and sent it at him unintentional of course and it hit him square in the chest. She hated what he was saying and she was not going to stand by idly and watch him chew them out.
“You ruined your life and you will not ruin mine, my daughters or Airous’s I will not stand by and watch you destroy everything that I care about not after what you had done to me.” She said her eyes darkening.

“I forbid you to see me or anything of me or be a part of my life. You are nothing and I know you will find a way to come threaten my life like so long ago.” She said.

“I had just come inside after playing with a few wizards my age. It was almost supper time and I had come in early because if I would have been late I knew that she would get a worse punishment then the one the night before. I had about a month after Eclipse was taken, I was getting beat and hurt all the time and I took it because I didn't know what else to do and blamed myself for what happened to my twin. Every night since then I had tried to explain to my parents that it wasn't my fault that Eclipse was taken and that I just came in for a minute and then when I went back out Eclipse was gone. How was it my fault? I never knew but I was blamed and with that I brought myself down.” She started out remembering having this exact memory when she was teaching Aidan in her class.

She knew this memory well, it was something that had to deal with the fact that the beatings after this one kept getting worse and worse and each time kept leaving her broken. Each time, the house elf had always helped her and she blamed herself for the house elf’s dismissal because the house elf had loved working for the family. She now wondered if she could call the house elf and offer it a place to work and have time off whenever it wanted to have days off and offer a home.

“I started to take my muddy shoes off, mother would kill me if I tracked mud into the house, the to clean house that made no sense to me but I sprayed water, from the hose, on them to clean them off. After that I had snuck into the house but before I could take two steps I was flung up against the wall by you and tears were streaming down my face from the force. I looked into the room and noticed my four younger brothers and mother were there watching and I saw bats in my brothers hands and I knew what was about to come.” She continued and shivered before she said what her father would tell her and she knew that each time he would say that it was her fault, she believed him in every word that he said, she blamed herself every day till she saw her twin again that year.

“It's your fault, your fault that Eclipse is gone, you are going to pay the price, from all of us, what you had done. Because of this you are going to be beaten and there will be no mercy for you.’ You had said and flung me to the floor where I just laid, not moving. You whipped his wand out and had chains connect to my wrists and had them hang from the ceiling to hold me up like a box full of muggle sweets that muggles hit to get to the candy.” She said remembering that and remembered the scars that they had left and the fact her bones were always broken in each and every time they hit her.
She had always wondered what she really did do to deserve this type of punishment and she cringed that she knew that they could have done far worse then what they had. They could have killed her that night if they wanted to and each time she thought back on to the first day they fully hurt her far worse then what she had experienced, she wondered why they hadn’t. It was painful for her to talk about a beating that she had received and it hurt her far more to go through with talking about it. She knew that this was one of the beatings she received and it wasn’t all of them, just the one, for now that she would ever speak of.

“The beating that I took, took place over the course of three hours. By the second hour that you did this, you had stopped and went to have dinner that was prepared by the poor house elf that always had helped me after the beatings. While you guys ate, I remained tied up, my cloths torn, and bloodied my body was bruised, torn in gashes and broken in several places. The house elf had come to check on me and I was glad for the company of the house elf for the elf was the only friend I ever really had growing up in the household. The house elf’s name was Lily, she had always liked me for I treated her with respect and kindness where the rest of the family never did.” She said and she was now staring out into space though what she was seeing was more of a movie being played before her rather then what was out in front of her.

“After you and my brothers had finished the beating continued and every blow you did to my body, I no longer could feel because of how numb from the pain I had gone through kept going on and on. This had become the worst part of my life, being here with you being hit and being abused by the family I was raised by and every day was like this when I got home and started when I was nine years old and ended when I was 14 years old.” She said shivering and then remembered how her aunt had saved her and just before school started and how it took her aunt a while to get her to open up about a year and a half for her to talk.

“It was midnight by the time you had gone off to bed, my younger brothers had given me one more hit with the bat before they had gone to bed as well. I on the other hand was now laying on the floor so beaten and bruised that my body was in a bloody blackened state and I no longer could move. The house elf had come up to me and started dabbing me forehead and helped clean a lot of the major wounds that I took. I knew that now I wouldn’t be able to leave the house looking like this. The house elf ended up feeding me what I could manage to eat and helped me that night. After that night, everything kept getting far worse and everything was never the same ever again.” She said sadly knowing that nothing was ever going to be the same or had ever been the same when she took that heavy beating.

“Hecate would be pissed for what you would do if you touched a single hair on any of our heads.” She hissed.

Airous couldn't help but laughing. "I'll have you know..." He said taking a few steps towards Markus, "...I'm an auror. Selene and I have a great schedule. She works morning to evening at the school while I stay home and play with Willow. Once she comes home I can get ready for work, taking the night shift. And if my night is slow I make extra money on the side as a singer. So I disagree with you. I think we had handle raising a baby and being close." He smirked "unlike you and your failed marriage and your failed attempt on raising kids."

“"once again I disagree with you. You sir have threatened Selene, Willow and I. I can arrest you especially since it is on school grounds. Do I think you you'll stay long in the minstery's law enforcement office? Nah I don't. But it's better than listening to you talk. Your annoying and whiny for a grown man." He said taking out his wand.

Of course he knew that new aurors couldn't arrest anyone without being supervised. So he lifted his wand, pointing it in the air, and shot out red sparks into the sky. It was something he and Jacoby had come up with just in case he got into trouble and needed a supervisor. He was sure Jacoby would be there shortly. "Your right Markus. Us aurors know each other. And you are abusing your powers. So yes I can arrest you....just once Jacoby gets here."
