GENERAL: Tyler is quite short, standing at only five feet three inches tall. He is of average weight for a boy his height and of average build, as well. Tyler has often been described as quite "eccentric" in appearance. He tends to favor bold clothes and is not afraid to show it. Ties, plaid, zippers, studs, and chains all adorn his clothes on a daily basis. He has grown to love standing out in a crowd. The kind of person who wants all eyes on him, whether they're judging him or not. He keeps his hair various different colors to match. When it's not its natural brown, he'll have it dyed shades of orange, blue, purple, or even pink.

PERSONALITY:
Tyler is often described by his friends and family members as overly friendly. He is far from the shy type, always willing to go above and beyond when it comes to making and keeping friendships. Tyler is the kind of person who still keeps in touch with every person he's ever met in his life with only a few rare exceptions - those exceptions being people of whom he found to be rude, closed-minded, or cruel. Tyler puts a high value on his morals and for this reason can often be mistaken for being opinionated. TJ tends to be patient with those that he cares about. He can put up with a lot of abuse before he cuts someone off. Because of this many would describe him as a push over, though he really is not.

Tyler is eccentric in many respects. The kind of person who always has to be talking, he hates the silence and will always be the first to break it if he finds a room has gotten too quiet (this has served to earn him several detentions during his previous years at Hogwarts). He always has to be doing something and can never sit still. Whether his hands are moving or his feet are fidgeting, TJ is always moving in some kind of way. He's very active and will willingly complete a difficult task if it involves physical work, though mental work will sometimes bore him as he prefers to work with his hands. He is a very caring person despite his sometimes rough and rebellious appearance. He is often said to have a soft heart, a title that he has earned. Always there for his friends, always willing to help an animal or a creature in need, and never afraid to cry when he knows he should.

HISTORY
Tyler James Johnson was born to Lanette and her then husband, Gregory, as an attempt to save their failing marriage. Each of them soon realized how irresponsible having another child was, but neither of them regretted having the boy. He was the last son the two had before they divorced. They remained married until Tyler was four, when they divorced on good terms. There was no argument involved in their split. They'd each got what they had wanted out of the relationship, a large family full of healthy children, and it was clear that Gregory wasn't as interested in Lanette as she had always thought when he ended up falling for a certain Wizard named Gavin. Lanette was supportive of the relationship and through Gavin, was introduced to Tyler's step father, Gary. She married Gary when Tyler was six and soon gave birth to another child - and her only girl -, Cassie. Tyler has always been closest to Cassie and from the time she could walk, TJ has been overly protective of her.

Tyler comes from a upper middle class Wizarding family. Since he has two sets of parents - and most of them hold high ranking jobs within the ministry - his family has never struggled for money despite being rather large. They have always had everything they needed and have often still had some left over for all the stuff they wanted, too. For this reason, Tyler grew up not knowing exactly what it meant to struggle. Nevertheless, his family is not all perfect. (As he suspects no family is) He and his two eldest brothers fight often. The oldest of them has a temper like none he's ever known elsewhere. Joshua has essentially cut his family off, disappearing for months or even years at a time without notice. His wife, Sarah, encourages the separation saying that his family is nothing but bad news. This has led his mother to occasional bouts of depression that she often has trouble pulling out of. His other brothers, himself, his sister his father, and his step father do the best to can to keep her happy. His family has always put a high value on blood, living by the Muggle saying that blood is thicker than water.

Tyler got his letter to Hogwarts the same as his other siblings. There was never a "one house" for his family as they had always been spread out among the houses. TJ himself was sorted into Hufflepuff. There was no hesitation when the hat shouted out the house, and Tyler has come to understand why. He has always fit in with his housemates and never had any doubt about the hats decision. He tries his best to pass through his classes, though he has his weak moments. Tyler loves hard work, he just can't sit still long enough to concentrate on the mental strain called paper work. He passes by, but barely. He has always done best in hands on subjects. Tyler is about to enter his Seventh year and is still trying to find himself. He has no idea what he wants to be and realizes the time to choose is inching closer.
