Airous watched Jon move slowly after he had jumped away from the others touch. He couldn't read Jon's face but he wondered what the other was thinking. He seemed confused about something. Airous shakenly took the back of his hand and whipped the tears from his cheeks, which didn't help much since more seemed to fall.
Airous listened to Jon and nodded slowly. "W...what if I where to tell you...what would happen?" He asked. He longed for someone to talk to but was to terrified at the thought of someone else knowing, of them telling his father he knew. Airous knew he was in hot water but he didn't want to leave. He wanted to tell Jon everything.

He watched Airous wipe tears away. But there were soon more to replace them. He knew what that was like. He'd never admit it to one of his students - at least, not for a while - but he definitely knew what it was like. And the fact that he could relate to Airous in that respect made him soften even more. If he hadn't known that Airous would likely jerk away, he might have hugged him. Because from his point of view, Airous was a kid who needed someone to care about him more than anything. And not just care for him, but genuinely care about him. And Jon knew well that there was a difference.
At Airous' next words, Jon held his breath for a short second. This was it. Whatever he said next would likely determine what Airous said next. He knew that. He thought about his words, thinking carefully. What would happen? That would depend on the severity of whatever Airous told him. But he couldn't say that. Though, he didn't want to lie, either. Jonathan hated lies. At least, big lies. Small lies were another thing. "That would depend," Jon said carefully, "on what you would want to happen."
