Eclipse had come with her aunt. She knew that Nerefon was busy with Sirius and going on some missions from the department and that Nerefon couldn't teach her at the moment and Tony was busy trying to Help Selene with becoming an Auror and he had to many things on his plate too. Eclipse wanted to help as much as possible since they needed Aurors and that her aunt needed some in their department. Hecate had mentioned training with another Auror who was also training Airous though, eclipse wondered, if Airous knew about this and how much her sister's husband knew about her training as an Auror, teaching at the school and being a day nurse.
She knew how much Airous didn't want Selene to over work herself and take care of Willow who was growing up fast and since Airous was becoming an Auror she knew he had a hard time seeing both of them. Since he was going home at night and training from morning till late and it was hard on Selene not seeing him hardly at all and Eclipse knew Selene never told Airous this. Selene, she knew, felt like she was asking to much of Airous if she said that she missed him and wanted to see more of him but Eclipse knew Selene wouldn't say a word about hardly seeing him.
Eclipse went to the office her aunt had pointed to where the other Aurors would be, gave a name and told her to wait there and she then went to her office and kept it open just in case someone needed her. Eclipse found a place to hang her black leather trench coat but kept her wand in her hand though she rarely used her wand but just for safety purposes she carried it cause she would use her own wand for most of the training and she would hardly use her weavers magic or any other.
When she was leaning up against Tony's desk, which she knew he was just there for she had hugged him good bye after dropping a few files off, she looked into the mirror on the other side and smiled slightly knowing how much Selene and her looked so alike. After all they were identical twins though her face was unmarked unlike Selene's who was attacked by Abatu, the demon who was part of Tony. She brushed her long dark hair behind her ear and twirled her wand in her hands as she waited for the man named Jacoby.

Wand tucked in its safe place against his waist (the same holder he'd had since his Hogwarts days, given to him by a then very rich Jonathan), Jacoby leaned slightly against his desk, hand pressed against his wand almost out of force of habit. He wasn't sure how he would take to training two new aurors at once. He wasn't always a patient man. In fact, even as he stood there he could hear Jon chastising him in the back of his mind. Mumbling that same Muggle expression over and over again, Patience is a virtue, virtue is a grace, both put together make a very lovely face.
Yes. That was it. He'd have to practice patience, even though it went against his natural instincts. Besides, it wasn't so bad training new aurors. Surely, there were worse tasks he could have been assigned. Of course, he grew to miss the action that seemed to only occur when he wasn't with a rookie. But that didn't necessarily mean he hated the training. Besides, even if he did he knew Jonathan would tell him to be a big boy and suck it up. He loved Jon to death, but sometimes hated how he was always right.
He pushed himself up and made his way across the room, glancing at the other aurors there as he walked past. It had already been ten years since he'd been in training himself. Still, he remembered how strange it had all been at first. He wondered if it was the same for Eclipse and Airous. If they'd felt the same nerves, as well. "Eclipse Ipswitch?" he asked when he found her, eyes on her twirling wand. "I'm Jacoby Michaels."

As she waited she was thinking about what her aunt would say about her playing with her wand like that. 'Don't do that, I know you don't need to use your wand but you should be careful with it since you already are way to advanced and the wand could catch your thoughts and have a spell go off without you meaning it to.' Her aunt would be right though since her wand was always picky and always picked up on her thoughts and always did fire sometimes when she thought of a spell but her wand was faithful and it always was ready to go for her. She knew that if she thought of a spell the wand would easily perform the spell when she needed it too.
She looked at her wand and smiled at it. Her sister never needed to use her wand but she always did when she was at the school so that no one would know of the secret of being a weaver. Eclipse used her wand for the same way because they didn't want it known that they were weavers and if they did then that would be bad for the Dark Wizards who would try to see what they could do without a wand and use their abilities. Selene had been helping her with her weaving and she knew that Selene would do everything she could to help if need be. Eclipse thought of what it would be like to be a normal person without the powers she had but then again she liked who she was.
Eclipse, thankfully learned how to tune out peoples thoughts and focused on her own and she thought about how she really wasn't at all that nervous but she was in ways but she knew that she could use magic in other ways that people couldn't. She was so focused in her thoughts that she didn't notice that someone walked up to her and she looked up when she heard her name.
"Yes, thats me. Nice to meet you." She said holding out her right hand as she watched him watching her twirling her wand and she instantly stopped and held it still in her hand.
"Force of habit when I think. It gets worse if I think to much for things eventually float around the room on their own accord when I am to lost." she explained.

Jacoby accepted her hand, giving her a quick but firm handshake. Though he didn't say it, he was pleasantly surprised that she had done so. It seemed such pleasantries were rarer and rarer with younger Witches and Wizards those days. That or he was just becoming a bitter old man. He liked to think it was the former rather than the latter. "It's nice to meet you, too," he said, not forgetting his manners as he spoke.
He nodded as she explained why she had been twirling her wand. Truth was, it didn't bother him too much. He found that if you watched many people long enough, they all had quirks or bad habits. Wand twirling was far less annoying than Jon's habit of tapping his quill or pencil. He grinned, though, at the idea of things floating around. "Sounds like it can get dangerous sometimes," he joked lightly, hoping that Eclipse wouldn't take it the wrong way. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what made you decide to be an auror?" he asked bluntly, honestly curious about the why.

Eclipse beamed and for the first time except when she was with her sister, Airous and Willow had she ever truly smiled a genuine smile to anyone. She had always had a hard enough time with smiling because of being kidnapped and hurt through out the years from her kidnappers but she learned that it was best to forget the past but that didn't mean forget what it made you. She had a hard enough time trusting anyone in general because of that but because her sister had been trying to help her through it, and it was helping, she just still was not trusting very many but those closest to her.
"My aunt always yells at me when I fiddle with my wand like that. She always says that if I continue to do that who knows what kind of magic will be released when you don't think about it and it fires. Then again I believe it won't unless I think of a spell but anyway...I am not here to explain the reasons behind fiddling and what people are telling me to do and not to do." she said with a slight smile and then thought about what he had said.
"It can be depending on what is floating around the place but mostly it's just books." she said laughing slightly and raised an eyebrow before responding to the question he had asked and she thought hard about what he asked her. Why was she wanting this?
"I don't mind, it's a question and questions are harmless, it's just the answers that a person should fear more then the question itself. I guess the logical reason why I would become or decide to become an Auror is because there are to many dark forces out there that I want to help out and be able to fight and defend those who can't. Also...it has always been an ambition of mine to not be defined as the one who can't make anything of herself because of what happened to her. Plus I want to help you out." she said honestly.

Jacoby saw Eclipse's smile and genuinely wasn't sure what to make of it. Stupid to many human emotions (though far from incapable of them), he wasn't sure whether it was a good thing or a bad thing. He was dumbfounded for a brief moment as he stood there, and when he came to, he hoped she wouldn't have noticed it. What was it that his wife always said? (It's creepy how you do that, you know. Like you just, space out on planet Jacoby or something)
"She may be right," he said lightly, wondering what would happen if a spell did cross her mind. After all, one couldn't always control their subconscious. It had a funny way of bringing up things they didn't really want to think about. "But no, that isn't why you're here," he agreed, nodding at her words. She was here for the first day of her training. As he stared at her, he couldn't help but wonder just what she would end up having to do that day.
"I'm glad you think so," Jacoby said, "Because I'm a man who asks a lot of questions," he confessed. Which was true. Not necessarily because he was more curious than most, but rather because he didn't take the time to think before speaking. Anything that crossed his mind was fair game, be it question or statement. "Yes, answers are a different story entirely," he agreed quietly, "That's definitely a logical reason," he said.
He thought idly about Jonathan's brother. The reason he'd chosen to become an auror. Ironic looking back, since he and Marcus exchanged letters on a regular basis. But nonetheless, the idea of what could happen to those closest to him had still loomed on his mind. "More than most Wizards and Witches would care to admit," he said, "In a way, I'm glad you realize that there are. Some aurors come in here thinking we exaggerate, I think. They certainly act surprised when the job gets tough. You have some pretty noble reasons, though. Honestly, though, it isn't always action. For example, it can be boring work in an office."
OOC: Hope it works. Muse was a tad bit strained. ^^

"Usually she does have good advice and usually it is the best and usually the correct way when it concerns things like that. It hasn't happened but what if it did and someone could end up dead because of it? Then that would cause a problem. Of course." she said watching his facial expressions carefully in wonder to what was on his mind at the moment.
"Well questions are needed in order to figure out what you have to. First rule in taking people into custody is to ask questions and get answers then to proceed. That's not a big problem, questions are alright and I prefer people to ask questions in order for me to open up to them, better that way. Yes, My aunt taught me that and my father." she said the last part more to herself.
"Of course. Most people want to keep it quiet but keeping things like that is like lying and finding out a lie is harder to take in then the actual truth. Sometimes admitting that there are more dark wizards out there then not is best to admit that there is still a constant war going on. I don't believe that the department exaggerates on it, just people don't take it to seriously. I like a job that is constantly tough and hard to work through and keeps you busy then a constant desk job. Of course it isn't, Tony had explained that to me that it can be boring but it isn't always action." she said explaining.
OOC: It's ok I get that way too.

When she said that someone could end up dead, Jacoby bit down on the inside of his cheek, considering the words. It made him slightly nervous for a minute to think about it. He wasn't sure why. He had cheated death many times in his life. As an auror, Jonathan and Trish were convinced that he cheated death every day. "It certainly would cause a problem," he said, half grin on his face as he spoke. "So, let's just hope that never happens."
Jacoby nodded, listening as she spoke. He couldn't deny that that was the first rule. Perhaps, it was part of the reason he'd taken to asking so many questions. He spent a great portion of his life questioning criminals and dark witches and wizards. Some of them likely clinically insane. "That's right," he said, "You cannot truly proceed without the questioning. Getting them to answer, however, is often the tricky part," he added.
He listened as she spoke of lying. It was, perhaps ironically, a subject he knew something about. He wasn't a liar, per se. He was actually quite open, and tended to speak his mind without much hesitation. However, everyone had their secrets. Jacoby was no different. "I think, often, we should think that every day is a battle that is part of a much bigger war," Jacoby said, "It might sound dark, or even negative, but it's important to realize that dark wizards and dark witches never sleep. So, neither should we," he continued, meaning the sleep part as a metaphor, of course. "Being an auror will provide that," he said before tilting his head, "Sometimes. Other times, you'll wish that you had something to do. Of course, you'll be torn about it. Wanting action is wanting a dark wizard to strike. When the job is boring, in some ways, it's a good thing," he let out a sigh. They'd have to get to work in only a few minutes. Then the training would begin.
OOC: Fixed a word mistake a day late, lol

Eclipse watched his expression carefully, she was a very careful person and had learned to watch people’s expressions when se was captured and that helped her survive. She was going to make sure that she used that for the best of her ability because she knew she could use it to an advantage and she was curious about his facial expressions.
“Yes it can cause problems and we can always hope that it doesn’t happen. Lets keep the hope in order to live like that. A life without hope is a life that’s unhealthy.” She said honestly.
“That is true because then you blame the wrong person and that’s not right and injustice of the system. That is the tricky and sticky part of the job but that’s why it’s nice to have telepathy to see if they are lying.” She said tapping her head.
“That true and everyday we should keep the fight and keep it going. Tony has that kind of mind too he was hard on his student when she first started and she ended up to be a great auror almost superior to everyone, almost. That is true that they never sleep, evil and darkness can never sleep they are always plotting and we should keep our guard up all the time.” She said agreeing.
“Doesn’t surprise me actually. Well there is always something to do you just have to find it but yes it is a good thing. So what are we doing first?” she asked curiously.

Jacoby stared at her, wondering what was going through her mind. He often wondered what kind of impression he left on people, but never cared enough to ask. After all, there was only a handful of people Jacoby cared enough to impress. And he could count them on one hand. Maybe he would grow to feel that way about Eclipse and any other auror he'd have to train, maybe he wouldn't. He didn't tend to think about that. He wasn't even sure what his facial expression was at that moment. He often felt he awkwardly went through a small range, just to satisfy those around them so that it wouldn't always be straight.
"Can't argue with that logic," he said at her mention of hope, "Those with no hope are usually first to give up," he stopped speaking then, leaving the thought unfinished. Maybe it wasn't entirely true. Jon was prone to attempting to give up. Jon had hope in many ways. Except the ways that concerned himself. That in mind, Jacoby wondered which version of hope was more important.
"Exactly," Jacoby replied, "and sadly, that happens from time to time. Nothing worse than realizing you made such a mistake. Of course, when we're allowed to use truth serum, it isn't much of a problem," he added. Though, they weren't always allowed to. Messing around with truth serum was tricky business. He watched her as she mentioned telepathy, tapping her head. The thought gave him a quick pause. But he pushed it to the back of his mind as well as he could, as though trying to lock the thought down until later.
"We definitely should," he said, "Being hard on students is good," he added, "Definitely don't want them thinking it's all easy. And if it makes for great aurors, even better," he looked around the room for a moment, eyes brushing past others as they passed, "We need all the great aurors we can get," At her question, he mumbled "Right," more to himself than to her, "First, I suppose, we'll have to go over the basics," he told her, "Then training can begin. I won't lie. Training is trying. It can get frustrating, and some people have given up because of it. However, if you're here, they must have seen something in you. I mean, not only must you have pretty decent N.E.W.T. scores," he joked, knowing that aurors did, "but you must be a good candidate for the job, overall."

Eclipse tilted her head in curiosity and sighed wondering what was going through the thought process but she didn’t say a thing out of respect and care for those around her. She would go into his mind but she thought it best not to for privacy because it was best to keep that for him to tell her not her finding out without asking.
“I bet. That’s true that those with no hope are those to give up and that is sad. Though hope comes in many different forms for everyone and I wish there was more hope out there for people.” She said and shrugged thinking about her sister who never gave up on fighting when their father beat her.
“Of course. Using that can be tricky though because sometimes they have a way to take something to not have it work or it’s not allowed in general.” She said and shivered not wanting to ever use it or have to force people to have it.
“That can be slightly harsh sometimes but it is of course for good reason. Some know it’s not easy it does make great aurors and better people too. I guess you do need all the best you can get. Of course basics are fine I am ready to begin after all my brother was hard and trying to train us through this kind of thing.” She said getting ready to train.

Jacoby noticed her head tilt, but didn't seem to respond with an expression of his own. Granted, he wondered idly what she was thinking about, if she was curious about anything. He just supposed that, at the end of the day, it was none of his business. As long as his thoughts were safe to himself (the few that he actually kept to himself - and those few were dangerous), he could rest easy at night. Privacy really was best sometimes.
"Exactly," Jacoby agreed, pushing a strand of hair out of his face as he spoke to her, "We can't have people who may give up. Not here. Not as an Auror. They do us no good. First to fall," he said, making a falling gesture with his hand. He truly was socially awkward, never sure what gestures were socially acceptable and which ones were not, "There is," he said idly, "People who don't have it simply have to find it. Within themselves or some bull like that," he added, not certain why he had spoken that thought. Then again, Jacoby was never sure why he said half the things that he said.
Jacoby shivered slightly at the thought, too. Though, he supposed for different reasons. He certainly hoped no one ever gave him a truth serum. "Exactly," Jacoby said, "And even if it does work and is approved, they might confess to things that are unimportant. It's tricky business," he said, "It's good you have your brother," he added, "I suppose you are quite prepared for training then. What has your brother tried to train you through?" he asked.
OOC: Sorry it's so late. I meant to reply yesterday, but never finished. D:

"I am just thinking what's going through your mind, I don't like barging in but sometimes I catch thoughts that are just on the surface and I don't like prying to much. I think you say what you do because your brutally honest and you do it because that's who you are. I am not really thinking bout much except training and how my niece is doing but other then that I am only concentrating on the here and now." she said and then shook her head as she read only the messages on the surface.
"If everyone gave up then we wouldn't have anyone to continue to fight. We need the Auror department, as many as we can get and yes, I have to agree that they don't do us any justice by what they do. True but sometimes that's all they can do." she said watching him and raised her eyebrow slightly.
"That is true and it is not equivalent to what we want and it is tricky but we have other ways of finding out what we want too. Sometimes though he is extremely hard on us to fight and to be prepared for everything and anything. Probably. Everything. He has put us through training by tracking down people, things, questioning them, in duels and multiple people duels and using other ways to hide from people in duels and finding the person's exact location to get them." she said.

Jacoby stared at her, one eyebrow raised for a moment as he took in her words. What, exactly, was on his mind? Well, the surface was nothing much to read. Nothing interesting at all. Idle thoughts about whether he would go to Jonathan's that night or actually spend the night at home, brief thoughts about what she might be thinking, and uninteresting things concerning his children and their schooling. Beneath the surface, however, was different territory entirely. Beneath it all loomed thoughts about dark wizards. Thoughts about their crimes. Thoughts, mostly, about his half brother and the most recent owl. He wouldn't allow them to surface, though. In his world, doing that was dangerous.
"What's going through mine?" he asked, gesturing to himself with a solitary index finger in an awkward way that was quite characteristic of Jacoby. "Half the time, I'm not even sure," he said, "The other half, I blurt out whatever I'm thinking. Like I just did," he added thoughtfully, "I think I'm inclined to agree. A lot of people don't like brutal honesty, though," he said. It was definitely true. Even Jon occasionally chastised him for saying the wrong things or asking the wrong questions. He nodded as she explained what was on her own mind, "Sometimes, the here and now is most important,"
Jacoby nodded without hesitation, "Exactly," he told her, "I like to believe that we Aurors are very important. Without us, chaos would surely ensue. Maybe that's a bit arrogant, but I suppose it's true," He shrugged, "Sometimes," he replied, not noticing the raised eyebrow. "Other just as effective ways," he said, "Or, more effective even in some cases," he thought aloud, "So, essentially, you've already been through auror training?" he dared to ask, "I imagine you know a lot about concealment, tracking, all of that?"

Eclipse started to think that there was something bothering Jacoby and wondered if the guy needed a break or something. She was worried about him and wondered if he should get some time off and maybe if she asked her aunt to give him the time to take a break she probably would. Eclipse was concerned about Jacoby even though she didn’t know him that well, she still cared enough because she had a good heart but she was very cautious about people still. She continued to watch him in concern before she would say something and she was thoughtful and maybe if she talked to Tony, he would talk to him.
“I don’t have to know and I won’t force my ability to go in your mind unless you wanted me to do such but it will be good thing to in order to identify people who are using a polyjuice potion to look like people. Well I don’t think that many people are ever sure really, I do that too sometimes, blurt things out that are on the front of my mind. I like it because it’s honest and even if it hurts it is best to know the truth. That is true to have the here and now is important.” She said and smiled.
“We are important, aurors I mean because if we didn’t have Aurors we would have issues without the people who enforce the laws. Not really. I would have to agree. In many ways yes I went through Auror training. Yes he had taught me a lot of it but if you want to test it out lets try it out.” She said getting ready.
“Hey Jacoby, are you ok? I mean do you need a break? I mean you look really stressed out.” She said honestly.
