He caught her smile, but it didn't seem sincere. Which, ironically, made him smile in return. Was she getting aggravated with him? If so, that was something Jacoby was quite used to. Many people grew aggravated with him. It generally wasn't his intention, but he'd grown to appreciate it for what it was. Sometimes, though, he'd make a habit of doing it on purpose. Just because it came so naturally. Whatever the case - whether he had meant to anger her or not - he didn't flinch when her face grew darker. He had stared into the faces of many different types of evil already. Hell, he stared into a pair of dark, soulless eyes at least once a month and laughed with him.
"You're not the only one," he said with a sneer of his own on his face. Of course, he couldn't have known what Eclipse had meant by that. But that didn't stop him from jumping to conclusions. Assuming that she had meant he didn't. There was a slight twitch of anger, but he didn't respond to it. Not that time. She grew quiet, which didn't bother him any. He quite liked the silence, though he knew it wouldn't last long. "Perhaps, I have no interest in fully understanding you," he said. Which was the truth. The job was hard enough on its own without the complication of attempting to know one another beyond their Auror capabilities.
He scoffed, arms folded across his chest as he regarded her, one single brow raised in minor amusement. The expression on his face was currently one caught somewhere between apathy and slight bemusement. The closest he got around most people to not appearing entirely apathetic. "To protect me?" he asked with another snort, "Don't you worry about protecting me, Ipswitch. I didn't go through Auror training to be protected," Arrogant as the retort may have sounded, he was convinced that there was more than enough truth in the words. "In due time, should you want to confide, be my guest," Not that he'd ever confide. But he managed to keep that thought away.
The word spoken aloud made him chuckle again, though now his face had straightened out once more, making the chuckle appear fake. Perhaps, even, forced. (Though it was not) Friends. Jacoby did not have many of them. He had always been content with just a couple. The words slipped past his lips before he could stop them. "She could TRY," He looked up, slightly embarrassed that he'd said it out loud. But he said nothing more on the subject, having no other words looming in his mind. It certainly had nothing to do with Nera. Nothing at all. Jacoby just wasn't a 'people person'.
Prove what? he thought, I have nothing to prove. Right and wrong is subjective, And wasn't it? For even the worst of people were apt to think they were right in what they did. Her reply made him shake his head idly. As her words hit him, he looked around himself to find a safe spot. He had taken a few calculated steps, wand still pointed as he heard her words. He didn't make it very far. 'And yet, you're taking the time to tell me how little it distracted you,' he replied.
He wasn't sure just how stupid or how inexperienced she pegged him for. Jacoby wasn't one to share his life story often. He didn't even spend much time thinking about the things he had been through. Even if she'd planned to harm him, he would have made sure she, too, went down injured. Whether it turned out that way or not, neither of them would ever know. For they'd both be completely stupid to risk their jobs in such a fashion. And Azkaban was no place for an Auror responsible for a large percentage of the people incarcerated there.
He thought about her question, not allowing it to distract him but still finding it quite curious in nature. What did it take to earn his trust? What DID it take? He thought about the two people in whom he trusted. But that only confused him further. Trust was such a strange word to him. And while Jacoby could ramble about many things until he was blue in the face, when it came to emotions, he seemed to lose all sense of articulation. He never answered the question.
"Two," he said out loud, eyes still on her, never moving, "And don't assume I expect anything from you," he lectured, taking a brief pause from the previous conversation, "Every interaction with every Dark Witch, Wizard, and ever Auror is going to be different. No two people are identical. You can train to apprehend dark wizards. You can study their mind, why they do what they do. And you can stay one step ahead of them, as you should. But never expect the same routine every time you are facing an enemy."
The question about his kids made him sigh slightly in minor annoyance. There it was. The typical children are our futures. Jacoby was far from the constantly negative type of person, but something about that expression irked him. He just couldn't put his finger on it. He saw a brief image of himself as a kid. Couldn't have been older than six or seven. And in the darkest corner of his mind, there was his mother. Looking at him with the same apathetic gaze he often gave his own children. He couldn't answer why he didn't care. He wouldn't bother trying. As far as he knew, there was no why. Instead, he merely opted to say, "It's none of your business."
He sighed, "It's not the same thing," And it wasn't. Physical and mental were entirely separate. A fact he'd learned long ago due to Jonathan. While mentality could affect physical aspects, they were still separated by a mile. "A good Auror can tell when someone is about to break," When their wands were at each other's throats and she smiled, he couldn't help but allow the corner of his mouth to twitch - almost attempting a smile. Almost. Slightly amused by the situation. Having felt slightly accomplished, because - after all - he'd seen what she was capable of. "We're not here to discuss your sister," he said idly, "And I would, too. That's a trait that will make you a wonderful Auror," Compliments were strange coming from Jacoby, but it was sincere nevertheless.

She swallowed and she relaxed again, though the strain was there just under the surface she learned to control her anger, to control the tension and to control her emotions. It was far easier then some people thought but she was far more open then many but more reserved then everyone else…except for Jacoby, she realized. She kept her expression hard and looked like a vile, to those who can see it, to hide everything she was feeling at the same time. She smirked when he didn’t flinch, she didn’t care if he did or not.
“Well I am glad for that then, at least we have the same footing on that subject matter of work and everything else that comes with it. I am glad you don’t want to fully understanding me, that’s what keeps things interesting and different.” She said her sneer staying on her face.
“Sometimes I guess I prefer to give warnings just in case just so the other person who may get attacked knows before hand and isn’t taken off guard, that’s my protection. Of course not but there are various protections and not the one you are considering, Michaels. Plus isn’t that why you entered to be an Auror? So you don’t have people sacrificing their life for you?” she asked with an amused look.
“Trying and the thought is what counts, as long as she tried and came to terms, though not exactly great friends but on an even ground, that’s all she wants better footing, even if it’s not friendship.” She said letting it drop.
‘I guess it depends. Maybe I am but can you find it within the words? Everything is a puzzle, find the answer, I am not giving it to you willingly.’ She said smiling watching him look around though there were very little places a person could be safe.
‘I am not completely dumb I wouldn’t really do anything to harm your life, if I wanted that I think I would have been capable of doing that but I have no intentions of such a thing. Plus I know many of those who you imprisoned.’ She said snickering.
“hmm. Many expect to much from anyone, though you may not but others have. Of course it is, no one is the same no one ever will be and that is what makes everyone dangerous. That may be but everyone is a danger to everyone, that’s why you keep those you love close to you, that was always the plan, I learned that a long time ago. Always be a few steps ahead of your enemy no matter what though every time you have to think differently.” She said agreeing though thinking.
She waited patiently watching him think though she blocked every thought out at the moment keeping away from what he was thinking at the moment. Sometimes it was good to have privacy in the mind where people didn’t intrude in what you were thinking. She knew what it was like, they grew up what the parent was, and they turned out very like them.
“Maybe it’s not but we all eventually and can turn out like our parents though many don’t become what their parents are because they refuse to be like that. Don’t be someone that you have seen in your past Jacoby.” She advised to him.
“I know the difference, those two things are far different we only know pain is because the mind tells us that it is supposed to be painful but then again it is different.” She said and watched as she thought about it.
“A good auror does but do they know if it may be true or not sometimes people play that way others don’t. Though Hecate knows how to play people and break them, just as you do.” She said with an amused look on her face.
“Of course we are not here to talk about Selene. Thanks. I would never back down for it is not in my nature to do thus I would fight till my final breath.” She said.

She seemed to relax. He wasn't sure what to make of it. Nor did he ponder it for very long. Jacoby was complicated where emotions were concerned. To some people, it often seemed that the only one he understood was anger. Whereas, to the few that were close to him, love and contentment were thrown in the mix. To perfect strangers, though, none of those seemed a fit. He may have been a bit reserved - perhaps even more than a bit - but it was far from intentional. He hid what he had to to keep himself safe, and let the rest pass through his lips without giving it a second thought.
"It is," he said simply. After all, people were best left misunderstood. The mystery of another person was what made them interesting, different. Jacoby found that once he knew someone inside and out, they grew boring to him. His own ex-wife probably being the best example of that. "Not the one I'm considering?" he asked, bemused, "Explain, then, what you are talking about," he challenged, leaning slightly to the left. He wore an amused grin on his face at her question, shaking his head. "Not at all," he told her, "That's simplifying why I became an Auror."
He shrugged again, indifferent to the whole situation with the other person Eclipse was speaking off. "I'm already on decent terms with her," he replied nonchalantly, "Like I already told you," he added, the finality in his voice once more, "I don't care what she has against me and I have nothing against her. My personal life is my business. No one else's. We're all adults, aren't we? Now, I'd say it's time we get to work."
I am not asking you to was his only reply to her words. It wasn't that he was impatient. More or less that he just didn't want to play the game. If he figured it out, he did. If he didn't, he didn't. He wasn't there to get a lesson from her. He'd been an Auror since finished Auror training, and he'd entered Auror training thirteen years ago. It wasn't his turn to learn and get chastised, and lectured. It was hers.
Arrogance is dangerous, he replied, snark clear even in his thoughts, Do not think it would be so easy, Eclipse. I don't care what you've been through, what you have seen, what you have done. Making assumptions is a dangerous game. Someone who has been through less than you may be just as capable. Someone who has been through more may be less so. The human mind is a dangerous thing, And he knew too well that it was. And I do not care if you know those I've imprisoned. I imprisoned them once, I could do it again, So, maybe that was arrogance coming from him himself. But he didn't care, nor did he take the time to think about it.
"Though," he began, words slipping out quickly, "even those you love may be dangerous. Love isn't always safe. Nor is it always unconditional on both sides," he added cryptically. "I agree with being a few steps ahead. Though, many follow a pattern. A predictable pattern. Though, I suppose that even changing it up could fall under predictable."
He couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief. His past was his past and he wasn't willing to discuss it. So, instead, he ignored it. No witty reply, no snark or sarcasm. It didn't get a response at all. "Yes," he replied to her next words, "Like how a person could slice their toe open on a piece of glass, and not feel a thing. Until two hours later when they look down and see the blood. Then, suddenly, it will hurt. Because they'll realize it should hurt. I still stand by what I said."
He snickered in response, saying, "As I said. A good auror always knows. One can pretend in front of a good auror, and he or she can see it in their eyes. Part of having to deal with these... low lives is knowing when they're faking sympathy, guilt, or fear. Many of them will. And I'm sure Hecate does. I should hope so, being head auror," he sighed, wand still pointed but smirk on his face. "Good. I'm sure it will be appreciated in this field. Though, let's hope it never comes down to that. Are we done here? Because I'm kind of hungry, so, how does lunch sound?"
OOC: lol Gotta love how after all that, he's all nonchalant about lunch. >_> Even if the beginning of training ends here, though, we can still keep it going. As I'm sure there'd be more for them to do.

She remembered that anger was one thing that can distract a person, makes the person more cocky, more unaware, more…unstable as it were. It makes them lose their concentration in the middle of battle and that was something she didn’t want or to do, this was her test and she was not going to fail it now, not when she had come so close. Her face became guarded, emotionless, a mask and it was something that she grew used to wearing, something to hide her emotions. She had to protect herself from not only those around her but herself through her emotions, she was bad at letting her emotions kill her and those around her.
“I prefer misunderstanding people, though I may have a certain advantage of understanding, I like playing games with peoples minds in order to get to know them in certain areas. In other parts I would like to keep that untouched. I only use my ability for my advantage.” She said still keeping her face impassive her eyes clear from emotion.
He tilted her head slightly at his question. There were various protections in order to keep people alive and those people who don’t see it don’t know it. She knew the protection she was giving to him but not one he most likely was thinking of. She did her job, gave him what he needed and it was up to him to do with what he will with the information she gave him.
“Do you really want an explanation to what you already know of. I gave you what I had to its up to you to do with what you will with the information. That is my protection, giving people the necessary information they would require but it is up to them to do with what they need to. So I am not personally doing protection its themselves. Oh? Is that so? Then give me one good reason you became an Auror, just one reason but make sure it is a good enough answer.” She said matching his grin.
Her grin was mischievous but then again she was good at imitating people easily, at least by their facial expression and she had scared people with that. She hoped that he wouldn’t get the wrong idea at all but then again this was her, she was not going to play games, if he wanted to know her as a coworker he was going to get just that. She was not shy about who she was she just didn’t want people to get to close to what she had become.
“I hope so. Nerefon is a good person at heart. Then again its not my place to continue, its between the two of you not me. She will let it go. Of course it is your business. Yes, yes we are. Yes, as you wish, I prefer work rather then anything.” She said her face growing hard and back to impassive again due to the fact that’s who she was again.
‘As you wish Jacoby, as you wish.’ She whispered back to him though voice was hard as steel and burned like cold iron.
She remembered something when growing up something so cold that could burn through your skin, it felt like it burned but all it left was a mark, a cold burn. She knew how that was like, she had the marks of cold iron against her skin, the burn from the iron that hurt more then fire itself and that was something else. She didn’t feel the pain anymore, not for a long while.
‘I know how dangerous arrogance is, along with anger. Both can get you killed and both can be distracting. I know that nothing is easy Jacoby, never pretended that it was ever easy no matter what I have seen, done or been through sometimes nothing, none of that matters. Assuming is misleading just as anger and arrogance is.’ She said everything was still hard.
‘That may be true that no matter what a person has been through they could be just as capable or how much they could be less capable. Oh, I know how dangerous a human mind can be, I’ve been in many of them. Oh really? Then again I don’t care if you care or not. Could you Jacoby? You won’t be alone this time, I will fight with you.’ She said calmly and smiled a little.
“Love may be dangerous but those you love can just as easily betray you. I know that just as well. My father betrayed me and it hurt, love can get in the way but I know people who won’t betray me who I love unconditionally just as they to me. That may be. Being ahead knowing your enemy is one thing and the pattern are easily to see once you can see it. But yes…it can.” She said in understanding.
She understood and was willing to let it drop, it was understandable that he didn’t want to talk about it and she just let it go. She knew what it was like to have a past that you never wanted to bring up so she let it go like a good person. She didn’t move a lot but she kept her wand where it was she was not going to pretend that she was dumb she knew better.
“That’s the whole point with the mental. That stuff is less scary to me then anything though people should be concerned about, especially during the war, for PTSD. I’ve seen that. That doesn’t surprise me that you stand by what you have said. I am willing to try that as well no matter what.” She said nodding.
“I guess that is very true that a good auror will always know if a person is lying or when they aren’t lying. Of course, I have seen it with Hecate a lot when she used to do that with Selene and I when younger when we would get into trouble. Oh, she does trust me, she gets scary. I hope so that it will be appreciated. Of course. Lunch sounds great to me. But first lower your wand, I will promise not to strike, for I keep my promises.” She said her wand still pointed.
“Where to?” she asked smiling.
OOC: I found it interesting though none the less. We could continue it but if you want we can close the thread too and start a new one with something different.

He had to admit, he was pleased to see her seemingly calm her anger. It could be hard dealing with him, even he was well aware of that. But it would be even harder to deal with many of the witches and wizards she'd see. Especially when she was sent out to deal with one who had simply used a spell in front of muggles while under the influence and would not listen to reason. Yes, those kind of jobs could really test someone's patience. If she could keep calm around Jacoby, though, perhaps she stood a chance. At least, he supposed that she might.
"Have you gotten to know me in those areas?" he asked lightly, narrowing his eyes in brief curiosity. Though, it didn't last long on his face, as was usual for him. "Maybe I do," he replied bluntly, "Because you're talking in circles again. Clear, concise explanations are all I ask for. I should not think that would be too hard. Though, I guess, articulation isn't exactly my strong point..." he paused, briefly tongue tied as he realized he was beginning to ramble in the fashion that was typical of himself and the thought crossed with his spoken words. Finally, he finished with, "but I don't generally assume everyone knows what I'm talking about."
He snickered at her question. What a bold thing to ask. Especially suggesting it be good enough. He let out a sigh between his chuckle and his reply. "And what, exactly, would you consider to be a good answer? I have my reasons. Sometimes, you just know what you're going to become. You just wake up one day and realize it's what you want to do, regardless of reasoning or circumstance. The reason I became an auror has little to do with protection. Be it protection for myself, or anyone else. I could easily learn to protect myself without training to be an auror. I guess, maybe my reasoning is selfish. A desire to make some kind of impact in the greater scheme. To not die having done nothing. To go to bed at night knowing the world has one less dark wizard than it did that morning. Overall, though, I just knew it was what I was supposed to do. I can't tell you why, nor will I attempt to."
He didn't even notice her grin. Typical of him, really. He'd notice some expressions, and completely ignore others. Not intentional, not at all. He was just emotionally challenged and that wasn't likely to change. "I'm sure she is," he replied. And he had no doubt in his mind that she was. Nevertheless, he didn't want to discuss it any further. He felt like he had been put on the spot with that topic as it was. Continuing it beyond that would be beating a dead horse.
I'm glad you know, was all he replied with. There is no may to it, really. It is true. Do you think every dark wizard had a terrible childhood? Certainly not. It's good that you know how dangerous it is, regardless. Then you know that not everyone thinks like you and I," he chuckled to himself, a strange sound in the place he was standing in. But his nevertheless, "I wasn't alone last time," he said aloud. And he wasn't.
"I hope you really can trust them," he said, "I really do. I hope they've given you a reason to trust them. For blindly trusting someone just because you love them is dangerous. Perhaps even more so for an auror. After all, dark wizards like keeping their eyes on us," He thought about her next words, not quite sure what to make of them. Fear was different for everyone. And unless you were the person experiencing it, you could never understand the amount of fear something caused for them. In any case, he didn't reply to it.
"Must have been hard when you were younger. Never being able to lie," he said, "I imagine she does. Not that that's a bad thing," She replied to his question, requesting he lower his wand. He shook his head with a snicker, "Only if you lower yours at the same time. Fair enough, right?" He thought about her next question for a brief moment before saying, "I know of a wizard place near Diagon. Only wizard restaurant I know of. Unless you've got something better?"
OOC: I'm thinking we continue from here. Even if we post another thread, just start from the end. If that made sense? If not, feel free to owl me. Might be easier to just keep it going here, though. xD

Though she may be angry she had to control it, for she knew that even though people may end up pissing them off they had to learn how to make sure they didn’t lose control of it. She wondered, after just this time with Jacoby, how people could really deal with him and she also wondered how her aunt could deal with him but then again, her aunt probably likes him for his skills and that’s why she kept him. In many ways she was nervous about this job and wondered how she would deal with people who were far worse then Jacoby himself. She knew that if she tried she did stand a chance.
“In some ways but in others no. I prefer to not understand you and accept you for who you are. That all depends. Sorry bad habit of mine to do that, I get told that all the time after I came back. Alright then I will try but then again we all have our own weakness. To be honest, sometimes already I wonder that but I go with it.” She said and smiled at him, a true smile that time in regards to anything it was hard for her to not fake her smiles any more.
She watched him wondering why he was chuckling at all but then again maybe her question was something that many wouldn’t want to answer or are way to similar or something else entirely. Then again, the same question could be pointed at her as well. Why did she choose this job? Maybe the question would be easier to answer in due time. Any answer to her would do but then again, sometimes it wasn’t good enough to her, she liked the full answers rather then half answers that many gave.
“Depends, really. To me the worst answer would be joining it for the sport of it if that’s the case then why really join? To me sometimes Honor or respect is a good thing to but its also a selfish thing too.” She said thoughtfully.
“I guess everyone does have their own reasons to join but I wonder if it is always the right reason to join the force or the cause too. Some are just that lucky. To me that’s not selfish at all. Trying to make an impact on others or even yourself proving that your life was not nothing and that you want to die trying to do things for the greater good is nothing but a good reason. That answer is good enough to me though.” She said nodding to him in understanding.
She became sober, emotionally of course and now she felt nothing, could feel nothing, it was something she learned, to feel nothing and live without being able to have those emotions hold you back. She had to learn to hold and erase those emotions to pretend to be someone else, that was something that she was used to and that was all that mattered, especially in this line of duty. It wasn’t like she didn’t have emotions, she did, but she had to keep them in check to make sure that no one got hurt or would make a fool of her or thought any less of her. She just shrugged at his comment dropping it herself and having no more to say on the on the topic of itself.
‘I guess I was forced to be taught. No, not all of them no. Its never understood why they would go dark, there is always a good reason but sometimes we never will know the truth to why they decided that life. I would have to agree we just have to out think them. Really?’ she said curiously.
“I can. They have never betrayed me and I know they wouldn’t. They have, which I am grateful for and they know to trust me too. I do agree that it is a dangerous thing to trust someone blindly just because you love them, even love can lie but they have never given me a reason to mistrust them. That is very true I am just glad that both are training in the same position as I am.” She said smiling to herself her only fear now was losing those closest to her.
“It was but then again, I am just glad that she knew the truth rather then someone else that we never knew or trusted. She does, its not that’s why I am grateful for her too. That is fair enough.” She agreed slowly lowering it.
“Nope, I have nothing other then those in the Wizarding world but that is good to me.” She said agreeing.
OOC: That’s fine by me XD

The fact of the matter was, many people couldn't stand Jacoby. People either liked him or didn't, there was never an in between. And he had accepted that. He was comfortable with that, and wasn't that all that truly mattered? The person he was had little to do with the auror he was. He may have been brash, rude, and abrasive toward other aurors when he was in the auror office and when he was merely training - but when he was in pursuit of a dark wizard, that all changed. He became focused on one thing and one thing only. Maybe, in a way he'd never admit, he was in it for the sport of it.
"I see," he replied carefully, mixed feelings about her answer. He was curious in what ways she had, but it wasn't on his mind to ask. Perhaps it was better he not know, anyway. With everything that had been on his mind that day thus far, there was truly no telling what she had or hadn't seen. "No need to apologize," he said, chuckling lightly, "You're right. We all have our weaknesses. Our faults, if you will. Besides, I get confused rather easily anyway. That's one of my weaknesses."
Jacoby shrugged. He was truly indifferent to why someone might join. An auror who joined for the sport of it solely was still better than no aurors at all. At least such an auror would love the job, and would be likely to get the job done. "Perhaps," he said, "At least such an auror would enjoy his job," he said quickly, words slipping past his filter, "It can be selfish. But truly, who isn't somewhat selfish deep down? Isn't everything we do motivated by some kind of... personal desire?"
Jacoby thought about her words, unsure himself. "I'm not sure there is a right or a wrong reason. Really, it's just like any job, but with a bit of added... danger. You have some people that have known for many years that they wanted to be an auror, and then others who made the split decision once they realized they met the requirements. Both of them can be just as useful to the department, if they are dedicated enough," he nodded in response, glad to hear she thought it was a good reason, though his expression showed no indication.
It's hard to know, he thought, as everyone is different. We can guess. And sometimes, we're right, He thought about that for a second. Didn't the Muggles call it profiling? Or something, but often, it is all just a shot in the dark, He listened to her answer, not finding it entirely satisfactory. Maybe that was because love was still a strange emotion to him. He'd felt it strongly for but two people in all his life. But in some ways, he didn't trust even them completely. "I hope they never do," he replied.
He lowered his wand as she lowered hers, glad that she had done so. He kept his wand tight in his grip, though, ready to raise it should he need to. Not because he didn't trust her, but because it was habit after being an auror for so long. "I think you'll manage in this job. Just remember, with the way the world is looking right now... with the whispers... we may soon be fighting a lot more than just run of the mill dark wizards. Far worse, even," he added. "Now, lunch. One problem, though, I'm not sure how to get out of here," he said with a laugh, "Will apparition work?"

Eclipse thought about a lot of things though not showing that she was thinking but keeping an eye on Jacoby. She probably was in it for the sport but then again, she wanted to make sure her family was protected as well. She also was lonely and wanted to be involved with people so that it brought less loneliness in her life at the moment. she was ashamed of being alone and that was saying something but she had to live for something.
"Sometimes people do but then again some don't ask or they ask without asking the right questions. Though I would have to say that if they ask, they aren't always prepared for the answer or the answer isn't what they expected. Bad Habit to apologize but yes thats very true, though I try to hide them. Who doesn't depending on the subject?" she asked him thinking about what the Gypsies told her because asking was a dangerous thing for the answers are not what they may want.
"Its best to have people fighting for what they believe in and the fact that they are fighting the darkness and being the light in the darkness. Thats very true that they would enjoy their job. Sometimes it can be but then again everyone is to a small degree but others are trained to hide them. Everyone is." she said agreeing and nodding.
Maybe she was Selfish in wanting this job then again, who wasn't jealous or selfish when it came to fighting for what is right but then again everyone's opinion was different. Selene had told her that people don't realize that they are pushed forward with a force and their own Selfishness but some are more selfish then others. That was very true since Selene was hardly ever selfish.
"Probably not but there is always something that happens no matter what step we take even if it is right or even wrong. Then again it is but everything has its own danger sometimes we don't see the dangers involved especially in life. Yeah I can see that though everyone can be fit for the job but sometimes they are not. Though just like you and my aunt, you both are dedicated to the job." she said in a way of complimenting him.
'Probably. Sometimes guessing isn't always enough though sometimes we are wrong too Jacoby. Everything is but we only have to see the light in the darkness which is hope and fight for it.'
"Sometimes answers are not what we expect and thus we must think of the unexpected if we want to survive. I hope so too that they wont bring me down or disappoint me with betrayal." she said in all honesty.
Her hand was still tight around her own wand though she was taught to expect things even if we didn't have to and thus it saved her many times. She was scared of being down and attacked when there. Thus it was her own habit to make sure that she continued to fight and that it was something that she was supposed to do. Through her own training.
"I hope so. I don't doubt that we just have to listen closely to the whispers that are there and sometimes if we don't listen to it then we fail to be prepared for the war to come. I am willing to fight those that are stronger then those we fight now. I am not scared." she said though she slightly was but she thought of it as a game that had to be played in order to survive since she had to before.
"Not many do but I will guide you out of here, its something that you learn over time, but before we go something had been calling me here." she said and walked over to a dead body with a silver coin like pendant on a leather cord where on both sides was the eye of the wolf and on the other side was the tree of life. She took it off and then slid it around her neck where it vibrated slightly in recognition to her. The pendant was something that was going to be given to her and because she was the last she now was the leader of the last remaining Gypsies.
"It can but I have to remove the spell that makes apparation impossible in the place. Its something that we all learned about and how to use." she said waving her hand and a purply silver light came and then went in a poof of smoke.
"Now it's possible to be able to apperate out of here now." she said smiling.

(OOC: Doing the skip now, gonna start with the last few things she said while there)
"Good," Jacoby said carefully, eyes never leaving Eclipse's gaze, "I'm glad that you're not. As auror's, we must be prepared for anything. Magic. It can be so useful and yet... so dangerous, too," he frowned before adding, "It's okay to be a little afraid sometimes, however. I think so, anyway," Was it, really? He wasn't entirely sure. He wasn't even entirely sure what he was saying. Jacoby had spaced out slightly, in the way that was typical of him, and had started speaking almost mindlessly.
"Go to it then," he said simply, watching as she made her way to a body. She retrieved a pendant from it, sliding it around her own neck. It seemed to respond to her, but he didn't question this. He was quite used to seeing such things. After all, they were Wizards. "I remember," he said, "Jon puts that spell up and takes it down every time he arrives home and leaves," he didn't explain the reason why. That wasn't her business, after all.
Once she said it was possible to apparate away, he nodded. "Okay, then let's go," he replied, touching her arm - but only enough to pull her with him as he turned on the spot and went through the annoying travel known as apparition. Being that their destination was witch and wizard only, he apparated straight there, arriving in front of the entrance. "Here it is," he said, "Now let's get inside. I'm starved."
OOC: Eek, hope it works >_> If you need me to edit and add more, I can. Just had a mind block at the end. You can god mode him following her inside and sitting down or whatever.

"Magic is unpredictable just like people can be unpredictable and every step and every day is the same thing. Life in general is unpredictable. I would agree, uncontrolled and controlled magic is dangerous but useful if you know how to use it. Well if your not afraid sometimes then there must be something wrong, even the best of Aurors are afraid sometimes but that depends what they are afraid of.
"I don't blame him in the least, after all its for protection or whatever we need at the time to make things untraceable or even unplottable to other people. The fidilus charm helps too for a secret keeper which has to be placed on my Sisters house though its unplottable now. Everyone has their own reasons for what they do and I am not going to ask for it isn't my business and I don't wish to know." she said honestly adjusting the necklace.
She nodded getting ready for the apperation she wasn't thrilled about this transportation but then again it was the fastest way to move. Then again she always used it rather then floo powder because that was more traceable and something she didn't like to much, she didn't like being fallowed because she was rather paranoid when it came to that. Although Apperation also gave her a a thrill and energy boost that other things didn't except quidditch which was fun and enjoyable to play, she just wished that she would have been on the house team while she was in school. As they finally arrived at the entrance of the business she stalled looked around and expanded her mind to read those around her and she searched in the shadows before entering the building. She was so jumpy that she always checked before going in anywhere if there was someone tracking her or had dark plots going through their mind that she would catch.
"Sorry just a little bit jumpy. I always check the mind waves of people to see if anyone either A. Fallows me, B. Has dark thoughts or C. is going to release something that shouldn't be released in public. Habit I got into while younger." she said opening the door and finding a corner booth in the back and she picked up a menu.
OOC: It's all good I know how that goes.

Life truly was unpredictable. Jacoby knew that well enough. One moment, a man could be on top of the world - he could have everything he needed to survive, plus more. And the next, he might be at the bottom of the food chain. Struggling to barely get by. Life was funny that way. He imagined life was horrible for people who liked everything to remain predictable. "I would trust an auror who has fear before I would one who doesn't," Jacoby said simply.
"I don't blame him, either," Jacoby said, "If I'd been through what he's been through, I'd probably take the same precautions," he nodded in agreement. The charm was definitely helpful, he could not argue with that logic. He glanced at her sideways when she said she wouldn't ask. He wondered, idly, if she'd briefly tapped into his thoughts again and saw that he wondered if she would. Perhaps she was just going off instinct. The thing was, he'd never be entirely sure around here. That made him both curious and uncomfortable.
He shook his head at her words. "Don't apologize," he replied, "I understand. It's hard not to be somewhat... suspicious when you've seen a lot. The world can be dangerous. Better to face that than to ignore it. Don't get overly paranoid, though," he warned as she opened the door. He followed behind her, taking a seat across from her as he reached for his own menu, "Is there a reason for you to be weary of people following you?" he asked curiously.

She was thinking about how she would truly open up once she thought and knew that everyone who had created her the way she was were gone and she knew that some where still alive, they should be somewhere on the move. She had to keep herself hidden and untraceable at all times so that they couldn't find her or watch her every move which she knew they did for some time but she didn't want that, not now when she was at least establishing her life. She didn't want to run away but she didn't want anyone hurt on her behalf because they were in the way and this time she wouldn't let people die for her or get in the way. She lost the love of her life a year ago because they wanted to drag her out, this time that was not going to happen, thats why she feared getting to close to people.
"The same goes for me. To trust those that had fear and knew what they had to do regardless of that fear rather then the ones that don't know fear and go in boldly and die because of lack of fear for they are not cautious." she said agreeing with him, she knew that from experience too that it was good to have fear which made a person cautious rather then having no fear and being to bold.
"I would too since it will become habit and it is a way of our lives too then and it makes us feel secure. Plus I am guessing its to protect him and his family so they were not lost, at least their lives wouldn't be lost to those who would kill them in an instant. No, Jacoby, that look seems to tell me that you think I read your mind, I didn't, I just don't care to know for thats his business and not mine." she said looking at him with a small smile on her face though it was gentler then most of them now days.
"Habit of mine to apologize to those that I end up liking for who they are. I hope so though I just feel that there is always a need to search and make sure that people are protected too regardless of who they are and that goes for you too. Well yes thats true that it is hard not to be to suspicious and your right to face it is better then to ignore it. Well I probably won't get to paranoid but its a habit to check regardless." she said and she browsed through the menu wondering what she should eat and she chose a caesar salad then anything else.
"Yes there is a reason. Back when I was with the Gypsies after I had won the game they made us go through to see who would take the place of the head of the gypsies I was told that they were going to train me more and to make sure the powers would get stronger. They had succeeded in that and they wanted me to become the next 'dark lord'. During the attack, however, I had escaped them and had some how managed to reach this country again but I lived in hiding and moved from place to place. There are only a few survivors and they are always searching for me to return me and to take up my rightful place." she said ordering her salad and a butter beer.
