"I guess....it's shocking because....I know what it's like to have one. And then never have one again." she admired. "it was nice growing up but once I changed the only birthday I got was watching my brother eat our cake." she said with a shrug "not a present nor a piece for me. Even though we have the same birthday."
"well for me it was money. I had nothing. I was so broke that I couldn't aforid to go to Hogwartts that semester. For the muggles I was with it was about street reputation." she shrugged. At his next question she nodded. "the first one....I'm not proud of. Sure he was a muggle but....the I can get the look of his two kids when they saw their father." she shock her head feeling sick. "the second time was a purpose accident." she said looking back up at him "but don't judge me please," she said tears swelling in her eyes, she didn't want to lose him because of this. "I won't do anything like it again unless the ones I love are threatened." she swore.

Lloyd stared at her, momentarily dumbfounded. He hadn't known, otherwise he wouldn't have been so insensitive about it. He could have kicked himself over his callous response, but it was too late to take it back now. "I'm sorry," he said, sincere expression on his face, "I didn't know," He bowed his head after speaking, fidgeting slightly where he sat. "That hardly seems fair," he said quietly, "With me, it was just... never having one. Neither Marcus nor Jon did, either. What your parents did to you..." he frowned, "The two of you have the same birthday?" he asked.
He narrowed his eyes again at the mention of street reputation. Such an idea was entirely foreign to him. "I can understand needing money," he said carefully, "but street reputation?" He couldn't help but show how clueless he was where Muggles were concerned. Lloyd chewed the inside of his cheek as she spoke, face sympathetic as he heard the words. He still felt no empathy toward the Muggles. He wouldn't say it to her, but he couldn't stop that indifference that had been ingrained into his brain from the very day he was born. "You never really forget things like that," he said softly, not thinking of the words before they slipped from his lips. He looked at her, expression soft as he moved to pull her toward him, "I wouldn't judge you because of it," he told her quietly, "I don't think any differently of you than I did five minutes ago."

Danni smiled lightly at him "don't be sorry." she said placing a gentle hand on his cheek. "like you said you didn't know. It's fine." when he started to say something about her parents she wanted to know what he hadn't finished but decided it was best to leave it be. "ya, where twins." she said with a shrug "though it's obvious that he's the favorite twin. He gets to go to durnstrang."
Danni shrugged "muggles care about all different kinds of reputation. When your a gang member your street credit is everything. Kinda like for me. I never was a gang member but many of them respected me for how I preformed on the streets. I was never raped, shot at, stabbed, or back talked to because to them I was dangerous. Especially after my accident." she nodded with him "I don't feel bad for the man. But it was just....knowing that his kids had seen it....that their fucked up in the head now because of me...." she sighed "I don't want that to ever happen to our son." when he pulled her into him she couldnt help but wrap her arms around him and rest her head in the crock of his neck. "thank you." she whispered happy that he still loved her.

He frowned she she told him not to be sorry, not sure he could listen to the advice. He didn't say anything regarding it, however, letting the air hang in silence between them for a moment before she answered his question. He twisted his face in confusion. He hadn't known that, but hadn't really asked, either. "Twins?" he asked curiously, not sure what to make of it.
"That's not too different from us, actually," Lloyd noted, voice slightly indifferent because of the topic of Muggles. "I guess everyone cares about reputation to some extent," he thought aloud. "Were those things a common concern where you were staying?" he wondered, "Accident?" He stared at her in curiosity again. Lloyd sighed as she spoke about the Muggle's kids. Unsure of what to say on the subject. He thought for a brief moment before speaking, "I don't want it to happen to ours, either," he said, "No need to thank me," he assured her, arms wrapped around her.

When he didn't speak for a moment she smiled lightly "Lloyd, it's ok." she said before pressing her lips to his to get his mind off of it. She nodded when he had asked about twins. "I guess I just didn't think it was important. You'd probably wouldn't like him much." she said with a shrug. "I bet Marcus would like him though." she smirked.
Danni nodded at his question "the men had the power where I was at. But because I could hand most of the men their asses, no one touched me." she sighed. "there where a lot of drugs too. I only tried one once." she shock her head "I didn't like it at all. I think I would have showed your brother up on paranoia if you had seen me."
When he asked about the accident she sighed. "I was street racing one day and was going to fast. I couldn't break in time when a semi truck decided to try to turn. Naturally the thing to do is to slide under it but the guy never stopped for me to do so. I was pinned under the truck for about a hour until the muggle medical type people could get me out. I don't know what happened after that. Apparently I was out for two weeks. I guess in a way I'm lucky to be alive. That was the only race I lost. But I gained a lot of street credit for coming back after I was able to get out of the muggle hospital."

The kiss distracted him just long enough for his mind to drift elsewhere. He returned the kiss without hesitation, smiling up at her as she continued to speak. Lloyd nodded at her answer. He supposed it was fair enough. "I guess that makes sense," he replied, "Your family does seem a bit..." he hesitated, not sure he should say anything. After all, his own family was far from perfect. Not even close. "A bit estranged," he said for lack of a better term. Lloyd merely shrugged at the suggestion that Marcus would. "I wouldn't bet any galleons on that," he said idly, thinking to himself that most times when people said that it ended up not being true. Then again, Lloyd wasn't sure he genuinely liked anyone.
"You showed them who was boss," Lloyd said, proud smile spreading his face for a second. He wasn't sure whether she caught it or not. He didn't try to hide it, anyway. At the mention of drugs, however, the smile faded. He knew too well the effects they could have on people. Jonathan came to mind. Yeah, paranoia pretty much described that day. "I'm glad you only tried them once," he said softly, "I've seen what they can do to a person," he sighed, not saying much more. He knew most people would assume Marcus. Hell, he himself assumed that would make more sense. "I have to say, I'm glad you didn't like it, too. I honestly cannot imagine why some people do," he stopped there, not wanting to lecture her on it.
He listened to her speak about the accident, eyes widening when she said that she was pinned under it. He was having trouble imagining the scene, but what he could imagine wasn't pretty. "Two weeks?" he asked, "I'm glad you survived it," he added, moving to wrap one of his hands around hers, "I take it you didn't stop after that?" he wondered, leaning against her as he reached for another strawberry.

Danni smiled when Lloyd returned her kiss happy that it had distracted him. She nodded to his words. "a lot of people say that. My family just, is...strict in their own way." she shrugged. Danni laughed lightly "ya, he probably wouldn't like my brother." she said taking a few bits of the wrap.
Danni shrugged and smiled lightly at the statement "I just don't like to be screwed with. It's like when me and your brother get into disagreements. I respect him and all but he thinks he can twist my words around and I don't take that crap from anyone." she shrugged again "I guess it also has to do with my temper. I do tend to throw fists when I'm mad at someone." she watched his smile fade "I didn't get it either. The one I tried was suppose to relax you and make you high. But all it did for me was make me think everyone was trying to kill me. I really didn't enjoy it and I won't ever do it again." she said with a shrug.
Danni nodded at his question. "I had to. Reputation. If I hadn't they I showed that I was scared and then everyone would try to beat me up. That's how it works. But I got back on. Did a few more races before the minstery decided to start looking for me. Took my parents three months to realize I was gone."

Lloyd grinned lightly, not sure how to respond to the idea of them being described as strict. It seemed to be a bit of an understatement to him, though he supposed he couldn't know for sure. "Strict?" he asked, still slightly baffled by the use of the word, "I'm not sure that's the word I would pick. But you know them better than I do," he added. Lloyd bit into the strawberry, speaking only after he swallowed the bite, "If Marcus ever meets someone he genuinely likes," he said, smirk on his face as he spoke, "Someone he doesn't screw over in the end, I will keel over from a heart attack," he joked. Of course, he wasn't one to badmouth his brother. But as far as he could see, that wasn't badmouthing him. It was simply being honest.
"I can't say I blame you," Lloyd said. If he were perfectly honest, he often admired that about her. He was always the opposite. Always the first to be jerked around when push came to shove. Withdrawing in such a way had simply become second nature to him. It had been the only way he and Jon could survive in the Doom home. But it had certainly made them pushovers as adults. He glanced at her when she brought up Marcus, solemn frown passing his face for a brief moment. It disappeared just as quickly, however, as he spoke again, "He does that to everyone," he said lightly, "You do have a temper. But I don't mind," he admitted, "Sounds frightening," he thought aloud, "I'm glad you'll never do it again."
Lloyd watched her as she spoke, grabbing a wrap of his own after ditching the rest of the strawberry. He nodded silently, still not sure he completely understood how Muggles worked, certain that it was on his face but not saying anything about it. "It's a good thing that you did, then," he said, "How long did it take for the Ministry to find you?" he stared at her when she said three months, expression solemn for a moment. "Three months?" he asked.

Danni didn't know what to make of his comment towards her parents. "I'm not quite sure how to describe them in the nicest way possible." she said with a shrug. She eyed Lloyd as he spoke of Marcus. "I hope that doesn't happen then. Wouldn't want you to have to go through such a traumatizing experience." she said with a smirk. Danni nodded as he continue to speak. She sighed and looked down "you might not mind my temper but I do." she said honestly.
Danni took a few more bits of her wrap before it had vanished. She nodded when Lloyd repeated her statement only as a question. "I honestly don't think my parents ever told the minstery I was gone. Bad for their reputation." as she thought more she said "I don't think it even went down as a runaway. I think they said I had been kidnapped and that's why I was gone for so long. Didn't want anyone to know that they hadn't cared that I had left."

Lloyd let out a sigh, considering her words for a moment. If he had to describe his parents, he wasn't sure he'd pick the nicest words possible. He wondered for a brief moment how Danni felt about her own, but was too afraid to ask. "Do you feel like you have to describe them... nicely?" he asked gently, putting the food he was holding down as he glanced at her. Lloyd laughed at her next statement, nodding in response, "No, I can't say I want to go through one," He noticed her sigh and stared at her in curiosity before speaking again, "Does it get you in trouble a lot?" he asked, thinking about her and Marcus.
"That's sad," he said more to himself than to her. He supposed his parents weren't so different in many ways. Though he didn't remember what had happened when he was eight (or that year in general, really), he'd read the articles. And he knew very well that his father had only cared about reputation, as well. He sighed, "I hate how so many of the parents in our world put reputation before their own children. I don't ever want to fall for that game. I want our child to know that he's far more important than any stupid reputation," Lloyd said. The word kidnapped made him flinch, but he hoped that she hadn't noticed. "Their logic is kind of messed up," he said quietly.

Danni smirked slightly "well...ya. No matter how bad they may be their still my parents. I had everything I needed to live. A house over my head, food, water and warmth. Just because they didn't give me everything I wanted or....pushed me around to try harder doesn't mean they where the worst parents out there." she said choosing her words wisely and shrugging once more. "I wouldn't want you to go through one either, love." she said with a smile, taking a grape and eating it. At his next question, she nodded. "it's not like I wish to get into spats with others. I just can't control myself around strangers. Especially if their going after someone I care for. I just....can't let it go." she said meeting his gaze.
Danni smiled when he spoke of reputations and touched her stomach. "I like that idea. I really do. I think some of the parents out there have taken the pure blood reputation to far. I just want him to be happy and healthy." she said with a nod. She watched Lloyd flinch when she said kidnapped. "is everything ok?" she asked worried

Lloyd thought about her words, carefully contemplating a reply. He didn't want to say anything that might be construed as offensive, and yet he didn't want to walk around how he truly felt. Lloyd reached for another strawberry, taking a bite before he replied, "Yes, that may be so," he said carefully, "but did you thrive? Of course there's worse. That doesn't make it any better," he stopped speaking there, not wanting to sound like a hypocrite. Because once Marcus was brought into the equation, he easily did. "I don't think anyone wishes to," Lloyd said, pausing as he added, "Except maybe people like Marcus. Still, I think it's good that you stand up for those you care about."
He nodded. "My parents took it so far that they even arranged Marcus' wedding. They wanted to make sure we married pure. I've no doubt they would have done the same to me if they could have," he said, "It was hard, sometimes," he admitted. His father had taken it so far he'd left a web of lies as his legacy. "I want him to be happy, too," Lloyd said softly, almost sadly. He glanced at her when she asked if everything was okay, nodding gently, "I'm fine. I don't talk about it often," he said cryptically, "Largely because I don't remember. It's weird. I sometimes wonder if Marcus or my parents used a memory charm," he wondered before shaking his head, "I was. Kidnapped, I mean."

Danni thought about what he said. "no. I guess I didn't." she said with a sigh. "I can't blame my mom for what happened. She seemed just as scared as I was of my father. I wouldn't be surprised if he where hurting her too." she admired. "you do?" she asked "you don't think it's bad that I fight with others?" she asked.
"Marcus married?" she asked almost laughing out "I never thought I would hear that." she nodded when he talked about his father "well you don't have to worry about us. I am pure blooded and our son will be pure blooded as well." she watched him as he spoke "kidnapped? What do you remember?" she asked

He nodded when she agreed, watching her as she explained that it wasn't her mom's fault. He sighed slightly. He supposed he could understand what she was saying. After all, it wasn't his mother's fault for the most part, either. She, too, always seemed just as scared of her husband and her eldest son as Lloyd and Jon had been. "He probably has," Lloyd said, not sure why the words slipped past his lips. They seemed thoughtless, but he hadn't meant them that way at all, "Not the fighting, per se," he told her, "Just that... you aren't afraid to defend people you care for, no matter who you are defending them against. It's like... you have a fire that just cannot be put out," he said, musing over his own words as he spoke them.
Lloyd laughed at her reaction. He couldn't help it. Cassandra had been interesting, to say the least. "He was," Lloyd told her, "For some time," he said, thinking about Cassandra idly, "Neither of them were happy about it. They hated each other. She died some years ago, though," he added, shrugging. He honestly wasn't sure how she died. She'd had many problems, but he'd never made assumptions. "I know," he said before kissing her. He shrugged at her question, "Honestly, nothing about actually... being with the other witch and wizard. Most I remember is what I read in the Prophet. Dad didn't want to pay them. In the end, Marcus did, I guess."

Danni knew Lloyd was right. There was a very high chance that her mom was being abused by her father as well. "she's ill." she whisper not meeting his gaze. It was the first time she had admired it or even told anyone making the reality of the sickness that illed her mother real. Danni smirked slightly. "I don't like others hurting the ones I care about." she couldn't help but love his words. "I guess your right. But I would do anything to protect you." she said looking up at him.
"I wonder what she was like." Danni said the night out loud "I mean...to be Marcus's wife." she shock her head slowly. Danni couldn't help but return the kiss. She listened as he spoke of what had happened and reached up to stroke his hair back. "I won't let anyone hurt you Lloyd." she said determined. "and if the memory's do ever come back I'll be here for you. You don't have to face them alone."
