He nodded in understanding, knowing too well that some people could become closed up out of fear. He'd seen it in his youngest brother. He'd seen it in Airous. He'd never been that way himself, though. He'd always been desperate for someone to cling to. "Yeah," he said sadly, "but sometimes even they at least want to know someone is there to listen. It helps to have the option. We're a social species, after all. Most of us. All of us but the sociopaths," he chuckled nervously, arms folded loosely across his chest as he bit his lower lip in thought.

"It's good that she did," he said with a smile, "Finding your own family is better than being alone," that line of thinking was why Jon sought to keep himself surrounded by people at all times. Probably why he became a professor. He hated the moments of solitude. More than he hated anything. "Yeah, sometimes we do," he said. He let out a brief sigh, having already forgotten why he had came to Hogsmeade in the first place.

Hecate sighed and looked at the wall in front of them as she continued to think about what she was going to do tonight and if Selene, Airous and Willow would be willing to come over to have dinner with her, Sky and Riley. She knew that Selene wouldn't mind but knowing Airous was so busy because of her she didn't doubt that he would be able to come or not that was up to him. She didn't want to shove him the child was trying to hard and seemed to be under a lot more stress then he should be.

"Thats very true and sometimes you just have to be there and be willing to listen when they are ready to talk or when they need something so that they can trust you. We are a social species but sometimes some are to afraid to speak. Well thats true that the sociopaths are I have dealt with more then enough of those." she said smiling slightly.

"Yes and it was about time for her to find that for herself. She always had felt alone for so long that I was worried she would remain alone. I guess we do under circumstances in order to survive and in order to do that we have to find ourselves and see what really matters to us." she said.
