(alina) first date

Sneaking out of the castle hadn't been too hard a task. Of course, it had proved to be somewhat of a challenge, but it hadn't been the first time Raven had sneaked out of Hogwarts. So, he hadn't been too afraid as he'd done so. He'd told Alina where to meet him and when, and was currently sitting in the food court waiting. The Muggle Mall wasn't his first choice, but it was the easiest one. In Diagon Alley, people would wonder why they weren't in school. In Hogsmeade, they would wonder the same thing. There were many other places he could have chose, but he figured they would blend in best at a mall.

He leaned back in the chair slightly, eyes scanning the occupants of the mall. There weren't many. It was late, and the mall was an hour from closing. The people that were there were either Muggle college students or middle aged people doing shopping after school or work. All the teenagers and children were likely at home. He put his feet on the table, crossing one leg over the other as he waited for Alina to show. He hoped that the date would go well.

This was the day. The day that would mark the actual first date of Raven and Alina. The day that would forever be engraved in her mind. Alina had grabbed her stuff, dropped December off at the family home, and went on her way to meet up with Raven at the mall. Today was soley focused on their time together. Alina brushed her hair and pulled it back, pulling her shirt down a little so that her stomach didn't show. Obviously if Raven saw how skinny she truly was then he may become worried, and she didn't need that on the first date.

Alina spotted him in a chair not to far off from her, watching him as he gazed around the mall. She knew that this was probably the last place he wanted to be seeing as it was a muggle place but it was the safest place to be also. Alina walked over and smiled at him. "Hallo, How are you tonight?" she asked placing her purse on the table.

Blue eyes fell on Alina, taking her in with curiosity. She looked just the same as he'd remembered, not that he'd expected her to change overnight. He stared for a long moment, eyes moving down her body as she approached him. One who knew him well would be able to guess what was on his mind, otherwise his face remained straight until she was beside him and speaking. At which point, it broke into a smile. His eyes briefly went to a mall cop as the man walked past, eyeing Raven and Alina with some curiosity. But the man kept on walking after Raven made eye contact. Nothing to see here, in the Muggle world, it's after school hours.

His eyes went back to Alina as he spoke, answering her question, feet still on the table despite the fact that security had passed them by. "Suddenly," he said, head tilted as he smirked, "Much better," he concluded, "And yourself?" he asked, finally placing his feet firmly on the floor as Alina placed her purse on the table.

Alina smiled back at him and almost blushed. "I'm doing great thank you. Decembers at my parents place which means we have the whole night to ourselves..to do whatever we please." Alina's eyes followed the mall cop as he checked them out. She gave a little wave and tried to smile. It wasn't that easy to do. She was breaking school rules and she did feel at home but still..It felt weird.

Alina rummaged through her purse and found her wallet. "Whata say we grab something to eat while we think of something to do? My treat of course."she said smiling at him again. It was hard to believe that she felt so at peace with Raven. How she forgot almost instantly about Brody and everything he had done to her. How Lloyd seemed like just a figment of her imagination. Maybe she was finally getting her chance to shine...

"I'm glad that you are," Raven said, smirking as he listened to her speak. So, December was gone. Meaning it was just him and Alina. He couldn't deny that he liked the idea of having the night to themselves. Nor would he try to. "I like the sound of that," he said, leaning toward her to plant a quick kiss after she had eyed the mall cop. He doubted the cop had any idea what Hogwarts even was. The fact was, they were safe at the mall. Unless a professor showed up, but the chances of that happening were very slim. It had happened to him all of once during his years at Hogwarts.

Raven leaned back, looking thoughtful at her question. While he wanted to offer to pay himself, it wasn't like he had any Muggle money on him. All he had were galleons and other Wizard coins. "Wish it could be my treat," he said, pulling out a small coin bag and shaking it to indicate it was only filled with coins, "But that's all I have. I wouldn't mind grabbing a bite, though," he said, stomach growling as if responding to the words.

Alina smiled happily at the quick kiss. It was wonderful that she finally had found someone who was just as similar as her. Alina took his hand and her purse after he shook his bag and said he wished it could be his. She shook her head. "Nah, I like spoiling my lovers, as I know in return I'll get spoiled to." She said smiling devilishly. Alina pulled him along with her and found a resteraunt that they could sit down and eat something decent. She pulled the door open.

Raven put the bag back in his pocket, grinning at her words. "High maintenance, are we?" he teased lightly, the question obviously spoken in jest rather than seriousness. "Well, I like being spoiled," he said, still grinning, "and I like to spoil others, too. So, we'll be just fine," he concluded as she grabbed him and pulled him along. She was clearly the assertive type, but he didn't mind. Most Slytherin girls expected the boy to do everything for them, a fact he'd learned long ago. He didn't mind opening doors, and pulling out chairs. But sometimes the pushiness of the other female snakes could be overbearing.

"How about at the same time?" he asked, grabbing her hand as he entered the restaurant. He found a table and pulled out a chair for her, gesturing for her to sit down.

Alina sat down in the seat, thankful that someone so kind was spending time with her, and outside of school to. She thought back to the last time she had a date in the muggle world. It was with Brody, and she had fainted because she hadn't eaten anything that day. Brody didn't even notice, the only one who had was Lloyd. She shook her head and laughed. "You sir have my sense of humor. I like it. Now if only we could somehow order something together and eat like that?"

After Alina sat down, Raven, too, took a seat right across from her. But close enough to kiss, if it came up. The thought passed his mind anyway as his eyes found her again. He chuckled when she laughed, telling him that he had her sense of humor. "That's good to hear," he told her, "Not only does it mean we'll laugh at each other's jokes, but it means that it won't be fake laughing," he concluded thoughtfully. He glanced up at her words, curious by what she meant about eating together as he grabbed for the menu. "If that's what you want to do, we can pick something."

"I'd love it if we could...that is if you don't mind all to much." she said as she ordered her drink. She ordered a shirly temple, some kind of pink fuzzy drink that these muggles drank, and it tasted alright to her. "So Raven...what are your hopes and ambitions in the future? like do you have any dreams that you hope to achieve? I myself hope to become part of something important. Like..fighting for a good cause you know? Something like that." Alina said

"I don't mind at all," he replied. And he didn't. He was just glad to be there, with her. After all, she was attractive and she was interesting, a combination rarely found in Slytherin house. And he was often one to stick to dating those within his own house, he didn't care how that made him appear. He supposed most students didn't that, whether they wanted to admit it or not. He glanced at the drink, still not sure what he even wanted.

Her question brought a smile to his lips. He wasn't entirely sure how to answer it without bringing his family into it. Which was a tough subject. "Probably a Ministry job," he said nonchalantly. "I think I'd like to be part of something important, too," he admitted after she told him that she would. "So, I suppose I know what you mean."

Alina smiled happily. She wondered if this Raven really was her match made in heaven. She leaned over and gave him a small peck on the lips. "I love you Raven Thomas...more then you'll ever come to guess. I may be rushing things a little bit, but you never know what could happen." she said as she looked at the menu again. Seeing as the boy didn't have a clue what to order she got him the closest thing to Butterbeer that there was on this side of the world. "He'll have a spiced honey chai tea with extra foam please. And to start off we'll have the appetizer."

He returned the peck on his lips with a quick peck on hers, smiling at the gesture. He was momentarily stunned, unsure on how to respond. He hadn't thought she was that serious about him yet. Despite the fact that she'd spoken the thought aloud, however, he didn't run nor walk away. "You're right," he said with a smile, "You never know what could happen," and you never truly did, "And maybe I love you, too," She ordered for him, causing him to grin. "A girl who takes charge," he noted, "I like that," The drink was brought to him first, leaving them waiting for the appetizer. He took a sip. It actually wasn't that bad.

After dinner was through, which she hoped that her beau had liked, she paid for the check and smiled. Alina took his hand in hers and looked at him, most sincerely. "Raven..I have to ask you something...What if I told you that I entered in the Tri-Wizard tournament and that I may need your help watching December if I got chosen?" she asked looking away shyly. She wasn't sure how he would take the news, wasn't sure if that question right there was enough to scare him away.

She really hoped that it didn't scare him away. "I also..wanted..to ask if maybe...well it may be to soon, but if you'd like to sleep with me tonight? Well not that way of course..don't wanna rush into that but like in my bed?" she said blushing a fierce red.

It was a bit strange having Alina pay for the check. It was something he wasn't used to. Sure, some of the female Slytherins liked to meet halfway on checks, but she was the first he'd been with to pay it all. He didn't argue with it, though. It wasn't like he had Muggle money on him, after all. He bit his lip at her question, not sure how to respond. "I can help, yeah," he replied, now biting the inside of his cheek as he thought. He wasn't sure what to think about her entering. He decided that he'd think about that later. When he had to.

He heard her next question, and caught her deep blush. He couldn't help but chuckle, smile on his face as she blushed. He nodded before he said, "I suppose I'd like that," then, added with some thought, "but wouldn't it be impossible for me to get to your dorm?"
